Nice 3yo race at Dundalk, 19.30 3 nicely bred fillies in Mother Nature, by City of Troy's sire, Justify, out of a Galileo mare Step To Somewhere, by Sea The Stars out of a New Approach mare Higher Leaves by Golden Horn out of a Declaration of War mare
The (18:40) at Musselburgh, a Class-2 Handicap Hurdle over an extended 2m1f on soft/heavy ground, is a very competitive affair with many in with a good chance. One who has shown decent form and should do well in this event is the Yeats gelding, Scots Poet, (Damsire: Selkirk). Hopefully, a sporting bet for a podium finish. Enough said! Craig Nichol rides for the Ewan Whillans yard. 7/1 top price early-doors, in nearly all places, on the ATR site. E/W preferred option.
Suityourself Boss 13/2 - Dundalk 6.30. Can't really say much as it is a track I avoid like the plague most of the time, we could be looking at an 8/11 favourite and something with 5 Duck Eggs would come along and win at Dundalk at 40/1...but another good run is expected from this one this evening, whether it will suffice, only time will tell.
Very tame in 7th in the end. Luke Comer with the winner gets to me a bit then as well. Multiple times been caught for using banned substances on his horses (i think he is awaiting his suspension), son found with skeletal horse remains at their yard and the man is still firing in winners with animals who show zero form whatsoever. Issue that needs to be resolved really, much the same as Tony Martin being able to have a runner in our Grand National last week whilst also after being suspended. Like suspending a Premier League team and telling them they can serve it during June and July. Pointless.
