Seems like basic standards simply not being imposed or policed.

When Donald and Methven went I did wonder how many staff were still here intent on doing as little as possible.

We have a strong academy with emerging international players and a few others worth 10-25 million quid for a reason. There’s 2.

I know a mag who says Sunderland fans think the first half is 40 minutes and the second is 20. It’s embarrassing because its partially true. Makes me laugh tbh though it shouldn’t. His dad and brother follow us. How does that happen!

Having let the dust settle and read the comments, the lack of at least one experienced player in midfield or attack contributed to the terrible performance on Monday. We missed Pritchard, a fit Dack or/and a veteran CM / CDM to set the standards and kick a few backsides. Blackburn ran rings round us and it shouldn’t have been allowed to happen.

Why would they restock at this late stage of the season? Especially when we are changing suppliers?

Last time we lost 1-5 at home we had experienced defenders and midfielders in the team.
Experience guarantees nothing. It's a lazy assumption

That’s fair that it’s not just experience on its own that we need. The right type of experienced player then. One who sets the standards and is a leader.

But teams with experienced plays can and will get humped 5-1 at home. It's football - any team can beat any other team on their day.
Our worst 2 players on Monday were the 2 most experienced ones. Go figure....

I watched the 90 mins last night, and think a lot of the criticism on here is premeditated tbh, we were not as bad as the media saboteurs at Mag Radio aided by idiots who phone in made out, an opinion but I have held it for some time. Blackburn are a decent championship team and know the score, we will play them again next season I am sure, last year Stoke walloped us by a similar score , and look where they are now. Yes we were all very disappointed by the result and the slow start, but it was playing with fire that team selection imo and we got our fingers burnt. The officials didn't help at all but neither does calling out any of our players who made individual mistakes, we all do it on here thats not the problem, its not having a first class appointments on the touch line imo.

Good post marra, I've lost confidence in Dodds, but it's the model that's got us to the position we now find ourselves in.

And Chris Rigg our best, I believe?

The experience thing is just the ravings of an echo chamber.

I dont want to go back to the days of signing the likes of O'Shea's and Anton Ferdinand and Titus ****ing Bramble.

Having a go at players who aren’t performing is crap, it has a tendency to make them perform worse. Officials were also crap but that was for both sides to be honest and we should be used to it.

The performance was absolutely ****e however, certain players looked like they couldn’t be arsed. I don’t think that is true of them but the tactics and team selection (Roberts was blatantly not fit enough) made it look that way. Even with our injuries there is no excuse for losing like that against a team with such a bad record.

The next managerial appointment is absolutely huge and will make it break our season.

That was both interesting and depressing in equal measure.

If the narrator of this video can see where things are going wrong, why can't the coaching staff?

Good question mate. I don’t know why we’re not on the ball with this but I think Dodds should phone AltEnding asap re: the Bristol game!

Alex Neil was good with prepping for each game if I remember right. It doesn’t look like it features in Dodds’s methods unfortunately.

Suppose it depends on whether you think the narrator is correct.
