His decision making had been way off lately..

Tis time now for the manager to be brave and make Romero captain.
He is currently the only one IMHO who has the fire
and fear to command players to get their finger out.

I'm seriously struggling with Werner out wide. It's a dead end for us.
I'm really struggling to see what Werner is offering this team. He's hugging the sideline and when he gets the ball he passes it sideways or backwards. He's not intelligent enough to affect games.
    40 minutes too late!
It's a dead end out left when Werner plays, I'm really really struggling to understand why Ange keeps playing him. He just doesn't have the intelligence for the premier league to affect games. How many times were crosses from the right whipped in and he's hiding behind defenders or not getting into goalscoring positions.

That would be ideal. Sell Richarlison to a Saudi club for a decent amount and sign two good strikers. Will need at least one more regardless of him leaving with European football looking likely.

Frustrating evening there. Some good play but not moving it quickly enough in the first half and overplaying in the second. Need to take some of those chances too.

I think the game speaks to a lot of the changes we need in the summer. We need a striker and a top 6 and probably a winger, as key starting XI additions, and of course competition in other places.

Not the end of the world. At least we didn’t lose it at the end which would have been devastating. We know we are far from the finished article. Ange has had 2 transfer windows plus we have lost one of our best ever players. Put Kane in this team and I really believe we would be at least 5 points closer to the top.
Son can play the lone striker but not against big physical teams like West Ham. We would be better having Richy up front to at least be a threat in the air. We played pretty football up to their box but there was no way we were going to pass through them. Frustrating night but we go again

Absolutely. This season has been a complete bonus for me but a lot of surgery needed for at least another 2 windows.

it’s a fixture we seem to always drop in. West ham and Chelsea I’ve come to accept that any points from the 4 matches are a bonus. Horrible fixtures year after year. Take the point as a positive, west ham always show up against us. It’s infuriating, but it’s an away match, and it’s much better than a defeat at this stage of the season. Especially with Villa playing city away tomorrow. By tomorrow night we could be 2 points behind them AND have a game in hand.

I can understand Postecoglou's desire to try Kulusevski in Maddison's role, but this was not the time.
He looked confused about what he was supposed to be doing, especially after Johnson went off.
Our subs sort of worked, as the Spam drifted out of the game almost entirely.
The shape gradually got more and more wonky, though.

You can see the issue that they have in terms of squad depth.
Moyes didn't make a single sub and you can see why, looking at their bench.
His decision to take off Antonio at Newcastle cost them the game and he wasn't going to do that again.

Yep one of my least liked fixtures. Just frustrating tonight as West Ham simply sit deep and hope for scraps at the other end.

Anyway bring on "my local derby" on Sunday and just pray we don't trip up! Couldn't face work next week otherwise...<laugh>

In his earlier games he was positioning and making
the options for Toby-ball. Sadly the team has no
players who have the vision or accuracy to utilise that.

The stuff you have stated just make it worse.

He has not played well enough to get into the Germany
Euro 24 squad (allegedly his main aim this season) .
As that is similarly the criteria I chose for signing him,
he can return home come May.

Our next game will be far from a gimme.

Nuno has quietly made Forest very difficult to break down. They've conceded just 5 goals in their last 5 games. He will set them up to sit deep and hit on the counter and as a mountain of evidence shows, we will find it very trying.

I don’t think it’s as bad a point as everyone makes out. Away at the team just two places below us. Pretty much puts us out of reach of them and United aren’t getting enough plus more points than we’re going to get.

5th minimum with a brand new team, a new manager who although experienced, has never managed at this level and it’s a clear work in progress. Another good summer and push on next season.

Glad we don’t have to wait until Monday! Hopefully be a nice way to end the weekend. Or more likely, knowing spurs, the perfect way to ruin the weekend and make the Monday dread that bit worse! <laugh>

They seem to have battered Fulham, though I've just seen that they only had 4 shots on target!
Fulham only had 3, mind. Not a great return from 34 shots between them.

Fulham are such a weird team, can be incredible on their day and then be bang average. Same with Wolves

Fulham are great at home and **** away. Their record's really wonky.
    W:9, D:1, L:5 at Craven Cottage and W:2, D:5, L:9 on the road.
7th at home with +14 GD and 15th away with -17.
Are they poisoning the visitors or something?

The mountain of evidence including that we've scored more goals per game than in any previous PL season and that Son has more goals and assists per game than previously?

Frankly it's difficult to see a time currently when it might be. He's so clearly out of form that to try and then play him in a totally new role would not seem a good idea.
