I feel our midfield are all at less than 100% and it shows. They're keeping the ball well enough, but not threatening with it and are a little slow getting back. Son's anonymous as a striker against sides when we've got the majority of possession, too. Not physical enough, no aerial presence at all and his attributes aren't useful.
We’ve controlled possession but done little with it, which has been a lot of the case these last 3-4 months. Johnson’s been lively whenever he’s had the ball. Van de Ven minus the silly ball push has been really solid. Bentancur’s passing has been clean but needs to be more direct at times. Romero’s been reckless. Udogie keeps losing possession - which ended up leading to their goal. Son been anonymous. Werner looks lost. Our set piece defending is still atrocious.
I must be watching a different game. I think we’re playing pretty well, West Ham have got nothing except set pieces. Son not getting involved at all and Werner hasn’t kicked on after the early assist but everyone else is having a decent game.
We have to improve our set plays at both ends. They look like scoring every time they have a corner whereas our corners are as threatening as a well fed hamster. some nice inter-play at times and no ones played badly but we create very little from lots of possesion.
