I don't like this match, even though historically we have a pretty good record against them, it's never easy. Our recent results Fulham aside have been better than our performances and in all honesty tonight I would rather win playing poorly than lose playing well as we did in the return at our place. Want Johnson & VDV to start as I think they can both impact the game in a positive way, like others here I have been disappointed with Bissouma for sometime, but I am not sure that any of the other midfielders are really comfortable doing the job he is doing and as such I am not sure Ange will change the midfield personel tonight. Got no hope for a good result tonight. They regularly turn us over. Think it's 10 losses and 4 draws and 11 wins in all comps against them in the last 25 matches. Coys
Just really need our midfielders to get back into form. I don’t think any of Bentancur, Maddison, Sarr and especially Bissouma have been anywhere near their best of late. On paper it’s probably the strongest area of the squad too, especially as we’ve also got Hojbjerg in reserve as well. Bissouma of all of them desperately needs a big performance, away to West Ham he’s got the opportunity to deliver one… no pressure like.
Van De Ven being fit is a huge plus All 3 midfielders but especially Bissouma need a good performance tonight.
I like that starting line up - what a bloody strong bench! But guarantee the following: 1. A key decision to go Spammers way following Moyes whinge. 2. Flappyhandski to have a worldie performance 3. Antonio and Bowen to continue scoring against us.
Antonio has rediscovered his form and loves scoring against us, as does Ward prouse and Bowen. They are gonna be desperate to put things right after that ****show last 10 mins against Newcastle
Very nervous about this. Paqueta feeding Antonio, Bowen and Kudus will be very strong against our high line. Have to keep him off the ball.
Alternatively we may get a demonstration of how Mickey Van has been carrying Bissouma for a while by being able to bail him out
P Re Pressure is on them to do exactly that, should open up a few opportunities for us. Pressure is on us to convert those chances we get, unlike the weekend when we wasted so many good chances.
Actually change that....would have preferred Sarr to start rather than Bentancur against this lot. But no big deal.
