No smoke without fire.. some people on here with an affiliation with the club and perhaps even as players in the past have heard rumblings about over coaching and that Tan and Acun have been made aware either directly or indirectly. Is LR (if he's here) going to turn around and say, 'ok I was wrong'.. like hell he is... theres also the pro footballer rumour mill and lots of these lads know lots of other lads and whilst many talks in terms of salary, so does being happy and seemingly some here are not..
I feel like Sky initially ran with that as a talking point because their research started and ended with team sheet, and they didn’t know that was something we regularly did. A broken clock is right twice a day kind of thing.
You'd have sacked McKenna and Robins then. And there's always going to be some level of dissonance amongst a squad of footballers. Way to go...
It wasn't even really right though, Carvalho scored from exactly that kind of run right after they'd been banging on about it. The issue wasn't the movement of the forwards in the area but the number of times we got into meaningful positions to service them. Morton's one driving run made a goal, but we didn't do enough of it. We need others, particularly Philogene, to be doing more of that.
I would expect that players not getting a game would complain but if it's players who are playing, then that's a whole different matter.
Re LR we have come a long way since the says of Shota and Grant. I am sure that we all can remember when we played a good team in the Championship with both of those managers we were under the cosh for most of he game with backs to the wall. In games under LR we have never been under the cosh against top teams and in many cases we have dominated them and have largely got good results at the end of the game. Given time its not a stretch to see that this can be replicated against the little and middling size fish in the Championship and be coupled with the ability to create more chances in the final third not only away but at home as well. I would guess that Acun sees this as well and as a consequence will stick with Rosenoir until those spring shoots bear fruit. Note to LR please start Tufan and Omur for the rest of the games this season.
So if it’s true, who are these players that have gone whining behind their gaffers back to Tan? Doesn’t sit right with me.
I suppose it all depends on if or what went on before it. If they made feelings clear to LR and it was just dismissed or ignored etc. then they have every right to go to the next in line so to speak, just like any place of work
I get the feeling a coup d'etat is on the way. Long live the revolution! Peasants like me can only take so much.
Christie and Slater didnt do well against the winger That was why we conceded a penalty although Slater was very clumsy about it
There's plenty of smoke blown up Rosenior's arse on here. * * Some git had to do it. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
LR in for me.... for now....but I am frustrated, our attacking offering needs to significantly improve.... give him the summer window & unto Dec, if no improvement.......Bye...
The Sky commentator last night said despite all the possession the ball is mainly played sidewards and backwards. It's the first time I've noticed that. He obviously doesn't understand that's the way intellects choose to play football in order to entertain and be successful.
Morton's driving run was one of the most exciting bits of City's game yesterday, not only was it good it was unexpected. Even if it hadn't resulted in a goal it was still good.
The more I think about it the more I don't get why Philogene can't do it. He's a wonderful dribbler but every chance he gets he slows down and waits for three defenders to completely shut down the space we've just spent 20 passes on creating for him. Must be worth him just getting his head down and running for the byline sometimes.
