yea and i disagree, hed be available for cheap i doubt he'd want to leave melbourne for hull but id try
A family member of mine was at a party just before Christmas which he attended. He was very arrogant and rude to other guests. No fighting on this occasion - who knows about the others - but not very nice to some of the other attendees either.
No. Which is probably a shame. I like him but I suspect we'd let him go rather than keep him on his current wage if we had the option.
Transfer window is sure to be another wild ride. The previous windows haven't quite addressed giving us a solid core with a view to consistency, not sure if thats due to bad planning or holding out for 'first choice targets' but it means there's a far bigger rebuild needed which again will mean time to settle and adjust etc etc, not a great base for trying to a build a promotion chasing team but I guess anythings possible. Ingram (Backup) Alsop Pandur Coyle Giles (Loan+option??) Greaves (Potentially leaving) Jones McLoughlin (not fancied) Fleming (not fancied) Jacob (Backup) Christie (contract up) Tufan Docherty (contract up) Traore (contract up) Morton (Leaving after loan) Philogene (Potentially leaving) Seri Slater Carvalho (Leaving after loan) Omur Ohio (Leaving after loan) Sharp (contract up) Delap (Leaving after loan) Connelly (contract up) Zaroury (Leaving after loan) (players either going out on loan or not fancied) Furlong?? Sinik?? Vaughan?? Simons?? Lokilo?? Longman?? Jarvis?? Wood?? Assuming all the players who's contracts expire leave and Greaves/Jaden are sold which I expect will be the case, the potential 1st 11 players we are left with is ..... Pandur/Allsop Coyle Jones Tufan Seri Slater Omur Hopefully we ease this issue slightly by bringing Delap and Morton back in but its clearly a huge job ahead.
Our shopping list in the summer is looking like a big rebuild. New right-back to replace Christie and challenge Coyle New left centre-half to replace Greaves if he goes New box-to-box midfielder to replace Morton and Docherty to challenge Slater New defensive midfielder to challenge Seri New winger to replace Philogene if he goes + at least another winger to replace Zaroury as Longman, Lokilo, Vaughan and Sinik either aren’t good enough or fancied Even with Traoré and Carvalho going, I think Tufan and Ömür as #10s is sufficient enough as we need to invest in other areas, though a PL youngster on loan wouldn’t hurt Three new strikers minimum, essentially replacing our entire strikers. As far as realistic targets, Eíran Cashin or Ronnie Edwards would be ideal replacements for Greaves. I’ve always maintained we need some physicality and athleticism in midfield. I like Cheick Condé. Plays for FC Zürich and was linked with Norwich in January. Good defensive mid that also has the legs to play as a box-to-box player. Ideal signing for us. As far as wingers go, Poku has been playing really well for Peterborough and was linked to Championship clubs in January. Could also go back in for Willock from QPR who we missed out on in January. Karamoko Dembélé has been really good for Blackpool this year as well. Strikers is where we need to spend a bit to get someone who can get 15+.
Of the loans: Morton and Carvalho would be entirely dependent on who the new Liverpool manager is and whether they would want to come back under LR. Neither have been entirely happy recently. Delap potentially could come permanently, there have been talks and he would consider it, but I get the feeling all it would take is a PL club to come in and we would miss out. Giles I think will be made permanent. Zaroury will go back to Burnley. Ohio back to Belgium. Could sign him but I don’t see why we would unless the fee was cheap. It would have to be value for money and at present any seven figure sum wouldn’t be justified. Of the current contracted players: Ingram will go, teams lower down the league want him and we would sanction it. We have Pandur and Allsop, Tim LT will be more than adequate third choice. Macca might be kept on as cover. Greaves will probably leave. Brentford shown serious interest. Jacob as cover Jones will stay, wages aren’t astronomical and he represents good value for money. Smith as back up/loaned out Coyle to stay Jacob kept as cover for Giles. Christie going. Furlong loaned out short term, probably to Shelbourne. Seri staying Slater has interest but I doubt he will leave. Jaden I don’t think will go but somebody will no doubt bid for him. Ömür is gonna be key next season. Tufan will obviously stay. Doc will be allowed to go, probably back to SPL. Traore might get an extra year as cover, not sure on that one. Jarvis I have no idea, depends on how he gets on in Ireland. Wood will go. Vaughan will go out on loan Sinik depends on how he gets on in Turkey. Lokilo will go. Longman to go. Woods definitely gone. Connolly I think they’ll give a year to, the first half of the season might just save him but he’ll need a good end to this season to justify that call. Think it’ll depend if Acun keeps LR in charge. Sharp will go. Oscar will still be in Brazil at the start of next season. I think we can recall him over the Summer if we want, but I don’t see why we would. Will probably need nine in Summer to flesh out the squad, at least seven of those need to be of the same calibre as Jaden, Ozan, Ömür and Delap. We saw last night the level of player that Leeds have, the level of Summerville, Rutter, Meslier and James are what we need to be certain of a top six finish.
Some interesting stuff in there. Is Oscar's loan definitely until January? I know their season runs to then but I don't remember it being announced as that long a loan at the time, unlike Celi for whom it was made clear that he was there for a calendar year both times. On Ingram, you mention that teams want him and we'll sanction it, but will he want to go? No idea what wage he's on but presumably more than a League 1/2 one, so might that mean we have to keep paying part of his wage?
Not sure, if we’re going to persist with this system I would say he is the most key player in the squad. Don’t think you find someone to do his job as well as he does without spending a lot of money.
Ingrams wages won't be an issue and he wants first team football. He's got lots of admirers so should be pretty simple
Realistically our remaining 1st team squad will consist of: Keepers: Pandur & Allsop Defenders: Coyle Jones Giles Jacob Midfield & Attack: Tufan Seri Slater Omur I can't see any of those we've loaned out featuring - clearly not wanted and / or not at the level we need (including Vaughan disappointingly). Furlong to go out on loan (or kept if we don't sign Giles). Greaves and Philogene highly likely to go. Maybe just maybe we can hang onto Delap for another season. If we keep Connolly then people making such a call want shooting. We're sorted for keepers. But that's about it! That doesn't look to me like we're building for next season. It looks more like a **** show. Massive rebuild incoming ... again.
Yeah Oscar is there for the season. Ingram won’t need to drop down to L2, there’s a couple of Championship clubs who want him and a few in League One who would at least match what he’s on here to make him first choice. I think he wants to be a first choice keeper somewhere, it isn’t going to be here so yeah I think given the opportunity he will go.
I've said before that I think stability is going to be key if we're going to challenge with our resources and that list doesn't fill me with much confidence. We can't be making a dozen plus changes season on season and expect consistency.
