Nixon is just getting his knickers in a twist and getting mixed up with different stories and financial inputs.
not once concerning us, unless the deal was already done and public. He couldn’t scoop a bowl of ice cream.
You’d imagine they would have some canny contacts in America, either through the fullwell 73 lot or isn’t the Step dad linked to some big American bank or something?
I thought before that it would be a no brainer for KLD to buy the rest of the shares when the opportunity came up. Letting another party take them spreads the risk though. He would still run the show but has help with the investment/funding cost - although sharing the profit if/when he sells.
Could Juan be selling to his Father-in-Law? Would match the "external" tag and he has a wealth of experience in running a top flight club. Would be surprised if the Rybovlevs and Louis-Dreyfus' didn't know each other well.
Trust me he is trying to sell to anyone who wants them. The fact KLD doesn't want them tells us summit.
What you're saying tells us nothing at all though. Without a hint of the context to what you're saying it is all pie in the sky stuff.
I haven't read anything with enough substance to convince me they're for sale at all. This isn't me saying they aren't. Just that every time it's suggested they are there isn't the slightest hint of a source or any kind of context to the suggestion. Hard to take that kind of thing seriously. After a decade or so on this board I think I've become a sceptic.
Not when he has said on a number of occasions that he was amenable to attracting additional investment, investors. Not everyone has bottomless pockets, though his are a bit deeper than your normal supporters. In his case he has control of the club now and to a large extent can do what he likes, any new investment, investors, may look to try and change that position in return for investing which may not be of interest to KLD. It's a funny one, would you want to buy a minority shareholding in a football club where you are going to be landed with a share of the bills to run the club but have no actual say in how the club is run. It's a difficult one.
I would say it's a rarity these days for clubs to be owned by a single person, it's generally groups/consortiums/ companies etc. If KLD buys Sartori's shares he becomes 100% liable for financing the club and I wouldn't blame him for wanting to share that burden. It's understandable in my opinion that he would prefer another investor onboard. How that affects the way the club operates moving forward will be interesting, if it happens.
There's no reason for him to buy Sartori's shares. He already owns a majority share, so he gets the deciding vote on all matters. Buying the remaining 40% costs him more money, not to mention the 100% financial liability that you have stated. People will doubtless use this as a way to slag him of as per
No, because he may feel the benefits to that don't outweigh the downsides when compared to his current position.
Maybe. Personally, just feel that it's a nice opportunity to get family and or showing of more commitment.
ipswich owners have just sold 40% of the club to get more investment in, and if its fulwell 73 trying to sort juans shares, it probably works out abit better in some fans eyes as the will have a fan consortium having a decent portion of the club , with some decent hitters behind them, if it's the same people the had behind them who tried to buy the club from short before SD and co
