coyle slater omur i think its well harsh to say slater had a bad game for the penalty.. hes not a natural right back, and summerville is so good
I always think it's harsh when people criticise a defender for making a challenge that ends up being a penalty. If they pulled out and let the guy through they'd be crucified, but people always seem to pretend that isn't a possibility when they criticise the defender in that scenario.
i wasnt slaters biggest fan last season, but hes stepped up massively this season, the fact he got picked to play where he did is testament to his ability and his on the ball ability has gotten so good
Coyle Morton Seri. ... Mention too for the away fans who could be heard loud and clear during the 80 mins of play when City dominated the game and silenced the home fans completley. But a frustrating night, again.
Pride restored, looked the better team for majority of the game and great atmosphere in the away stand even though we lost. Coyle, such a battler and better going forward too, good decision to play him there instead of Macca. Tufan, know he was tiring but game changed in their favour when he went off. Omur, tidy and effective. Honourable mention to the whole team, great spirit and still trying to score after the third goal.
Morton Tufan Omar Would have picked Slater as he had a good game… but effectively lost us the game with that penalty. 3-1 was a harsh result as the overall performance was good. Sadly scoring goals is our nemesis this season. Can’t be right after a January transfer window not bringing on one of our new forwards to get a goal back (when Coyle went off should have made 2 subs). The positives for me was we were well in the game and the players were really trying to win.
On the whole, all 'perhaps' could be picked here... but Coyle - top 3 as usual Omur - desperate for him to score and if he had...!!@! Ozan - i dont know what he has to do - Taken off we lose control of games, Brought on late, too late to influence them...
Coyle Omur Tufan Would have had Slater but for the pen. Can't be sure, but I think Slater intended to take him out, but misjudged where he was so gave away a pen instead of a free kick.
Coyle - lead the team in an unfamiliar position and gave a captains performance with plenty of defending and had time to drive the team forward. Morton - his best game for a while , he worked hard and produced a great assist . Omur - continued on from his sub appearance on Friday with plenty of energy , drive and creativity. Slater played well but his daft challenge cost the team a point . The team performed well as a whole and did not deserve to lose . Unlucky boys . Come in City
