Good job we didn't spaff 10 million quid on Shea Charles. That would have been a real waste of money alongside Stewart
That's how I feel. Massive credit to Ipswich, they keep doing that, so it can't be luck. (I slightly wish McKenna was our manager...)
Was I right or was I right. We have to accept where we are. A good Championship side with a decent chance in the play offs if the wind is in the right direction. Up the Saints
Bazunu is a sweeper defender and an ordinary goalkeeper just aim for the corners or shoot from a distance and you'll probably score....no the defending isnt good that leads to these shots but a better goalie saves them....and I'm sure we can all remember Bazunu's top saves because they don't happen often
Yeah strange he was on bench & wasn’t used (before sending off) as he’s one of our most effective forward players.
Calmed down a bit, play offs it is then. Typical of our season really, dominated for large parts of the game, didn’t take our chances and our defence folds like a pack of cards Contrary to most, I love watch RM style but we are short of a striker like we have since Ings left and has never been replaced
St Brendy I apologise, this wS not targeted at you. Whether it is football or cricket. Your postings are all very level headed. Please accept my apologies.
We arent, we have one who has proven he is more than capable. However the manager has randomly taken against him.
It's why the play-offs fill me with dread, but also why I don't see any reason to be writing off our chances. Whether in the SFs or the F. It's about what happens on the day. It's cup football, not league football. Maybe that day, we will take our chances to kill a game off. When we go two goals up, we win the game. When we only go one goal up, we often don't.
Last season absolutely, although they did have to deal with the legacy of Gao and it was always going to be tight, but they made some ****ing rank decisions. This season they have done better, but yeah the Stewart signing was trying to be too clever and in both windows we let better strikers go to our direct rivals when we were well capable of signing them (Piroe and Moore). Martin hasn't done a bad job, but I would also say he hasn't done a great job. 3rd/4th is about what I'd have expected for us at the beginning of the season, a great manager would get us autos, a **** manager wouldn't make the play offs.
