    Sports Republic

    Recruited a **** manager
    Recruited an injured striker
Determined to **** around with what should be fairly straightforward issues by being oh so clever in trying to make us a poundland Dortmund.

    It's all on those ****s

We played well for the first hour but all the goals conceded came from errors. KWP on the bench invites questions. We also desperately needed a second striker for late in the game.

Slightly exaggerated maybe but I'm sick and tired of managers who have their style and refuse to adapt when it doesn't go to plan. Martin has no in game awareness whatsoever and it's hurting us badly.

What a pathetic meltdown is that? You left out the owners and tea lady.

I don’t think he had his best game. But he was far from being awful. None of those were calamitous keeper errors, and if he had saved them people would have been saying class saves.

I'd rather win the play-offs than finish 2nd anyway. :bandit:

Actually we lost it HT. we came out on back foot whereas Ipswich stepped up & we basically failed for the next 45-50mins.

Second half was about even really. We were on top, then they had a spell, then it was just end to en Obviously against ten men they were eventually going to find space.

I think our problem, we did not push really hard for a third, I get Russ ball, but sometimes you need to go for the jugular, that game should have be dead at 1=4

I don't have too much of a problem with them, far worse owners out there. In fact we have had far worse

About the time Bedders went down, when 2-1 up, we seemed to change. As prior to that I thought the 3rd was coming. Then Aribo went for a run down the sideline and the rest of the team sat back, waiting for him to turn and pass instead of pushing to offer an attacking pass

Actually the issue is that we are a centre mid short. We are totally reliant on Raw Chicken boy to hold midfield. We need another presence in there.

As far as i'm concerned, we are still doing better than I expected at the start of this season and we've seen some really good football and matches, i'm looking forward to the play-offs. Knockout footy is so exciting and a possible trip to Wembley too (Ross Stewart to score the winner in the final anyone?...)

Tbf, I'm not melting down. I accepted our automatic chances were over when we lost to Millwall. Since then I've just been waiting for the play-offs.

Fair play to Ipswich. Once again they make big subs on 60 minutes, which change the game. Story of their season. When Leeds trashed them 4-0, they got all their goals before the hour mark - to put the game to bed against Ipswich requires doing in those first 60 minutes. We didn't, and so many others didn't.

Did I honestly just read someone blaming Baz for the first goal? F*ck me.

    That's it, I'm done. <laugh>

Fair enough - but that isn’t exactly likely is it? Form has fallen off a cliff and we haven’t really demonstrated that we can reliably beat the other of those top 3 who will join us in the play offs. Indeed it’s far from guaranteed that we will even make the final given the way we’ve been playing

But it’s not something to dwell on since it’s our only chance to go up. Autos now definitely blown. Chance was very slim before today but now are gone

Nah can’t agree with that. They equalised regardless. Were breaking thro the middle & Bree’s side regularly. Jack & Bedders a tad fortunate; ref got it right but could have gone the other way. Yes we had a couple of chances but they were well on top overall.
