Have to agree with myself here - he doesn't seem to know what is a foul and what isn't. He's acting like he's got Tierney in his ear all the time, telling him what to think.
Him Tierney and Taylor are the worst 3 refs in the league. The others will make the odd mistake and stuff but the amount of incompetent or inconsistent decisions they make just make it incredible hard to watch at times. Wasn’t it last year the prem decided that more contact would be allowed… then you see fouls given for any kind of contact no matter how minimal. Just makes it impossible to know what to expect. Wouldn’t surprise me if more teams started hiring people to do analysis of refs to feed it into the tactics. Already hear of some doing it occasionally, when analysts are pulling together strengths and weaknesses, when they give fouls to home teams compared to away, so they give pulls more or not, what do they take as a yellow etc then teams will look to benefit from it
