Throw faith out at your peril.

Faith is what builds nations and keeps them civilised. Faith is what binds massive numbers of people together, even though they have nothing else in common.

Faith and a joint belief in a common good.

I actually think a lack of faith is a much larger problem at this current time. Christian values are what built the west.

Now faith is gone we are losing those shared values in my opinion
Faith should never rest in 2000 year old values. Put faith in each other.

Brexit, the gift that keeps on giving. A border post in Portsmouth, that was built with a contribution from the council tax, isn’t viable and may be demolished if another use can’t be found for it. Other border posts, set up to check food imports, around the country are in a similar position.

Perhaps it could be used to stable the unicorns on the sunlit uplands.

If a new border control post is built inland like Dover anything south of Cosham could be called France.
I've often passed through UK border control at Rotterdam central station to get the Eurostar and the French at St Pancras International on the way back. The increased checks since brexit and the lack of staff have led to a reduction in service and increased prices. What a ****ing triumph! (© Vin)

In my view religious faith has provided a veneer of civility under which tyrants have operated throughout history.

I'm sure Brexit has led to a number of time consuming border checks and expense that we haven't had to face for years. But if you look at where Cosham is and class anything below that as not England, then Brexit may be looked at differently and actually well worth the inconvenience.

I used Eurostar from St Pancras to Gare du Nord the other day, was fast, simple and efficient I thought.

The Lille/Brussels/Rotterdam and on to Amsterdam service has been reduced. I've had late changes from a direct Eurostar to Rotterdam to Intercity services with transfers in Brussels and Breda. Due to limited capacity at terminals across Europe, Eurostar has been rolling back its services from the UK. In 2022, the operator’s peak capacity dropped by 30 per cent due to Brexit border checks.

I think that shows a very big misunderstanding of history personally.

Like it or not, Christianity has played a massive, massive role in creating the country we live in.

Turns out much of the “evidence” around sex reassignment in minors was completely wrong and is now being called one of the greatest ethical scandals in the history of medicine by a report presented to senators in France

@Schad will you apologise? I don’t blame you for getting it so wrong. You weren’t the only one that fell for the evil

Unlikely I would think, after all it's only France. He'll find a graph somewhere to discredit them.

I’m flying back to the UK on Easter Sunday (there’s a new scheduled flight between Southampton and Alicante that starts today with easyJet - just one day a week at the moment) and I am hoping, on my return to Spain, to jump the passport queue by using my Spanish residency card to go through the EU channel. Did it last time and the border police officer didn’t even look at the passport.
It was a great time saver as the queue for the non EU entry was immense, largely because several UK flights generally arrive within minutes of each other.

We flew to Tenerife and Zakynthos from Amsterdam last year, seamless travel. Pre brexit coming to the UK Mrs Jab could use her EU permanent residence ID card backed up by her Indonesian passport if required now she needs a visa with all the cost and pain of dealing with the hostile UK immigration. **** that, family are coming to us we may rent a big villa for a mass gathering of clan Jabbo.

You are welcome to your opinion and I respect that. Being the rather old hippy that I am I'll quote some early Dylan..

' Through many dark hour
I've been thinking about this
That Jesus Christ
Was betrayed by a kiss
But I can't think for you
You'll have to decide
Whether Judas Iscariot
Had God on his side.

So now I'm leaving
I'm weary as hell
The confusion I'm feeling
Ain't no tongue can tell
The words fill my head
And fall to the floor
If God's on our side
He'll stop the next war'
