Is it a Belgian or someone managing in Belgium??

Steve Bould? currently in Belgian League 2 has a link to us. No idea what his playing style is like

Don't think he would fit the profile I would assume they are looking at.

I think it’s obvious they’re looking for a young person (45 and under) with experience of the head coach role in contrast with the old school manager role, someone who is going to embrace the idea of recruiting young players and developing them, in a conveyor belt like fashion. The club probably don’t want to pay tens of thousands of pounds a week in wages, so this means someone with a lower profile, or at least not a blockbuster one, so no Graham Potters etc

I agree with that, but,it surely also has to be someone who can develop the team into a Premier League side.

Danny Rohl would be my favourite. He's made an awful Sheff Wednesday team competitive (I know they lost their last game 6-0)

    Still was named though.

The tweet names Still & Rohl, then mentions an unnamed Belgian.

I think unless it’s Will Still it will be someone from the continent who we know very little about, someone with a coaching background who has stepped into a “manager/head coach” role and done well. That’s my guess.

Will Still sounds the favourite but will he come knowing Clarke is leaving and watching the way our season is going and the fans anger. He would be daft not to be reading forums from afar IF he was interested just to gauge reaction. Before anyone says don't be silly he will be busy with more important things, just remember Beale was on social media with a burner (A new phrase on me but one used nonetheless) account to big himself up FFS

I liked the sound of Arsenals number 2 but think he is only 27 or something. Maybe with something to prove, but I do worry sometimes that we are lacking experience on the pitch and off it ATM. Mistakes someone in the business a long time would look at and speak out. I worry about the dressing room and losing the more experienced players. Data doesn't show that when the going get's tough you need characters in their with young ones to bring them on. I think Cory Evans brings that from previous TM comments and that he explains he pulls the young players up for turning up late to training. We seem a bit lacklustre. Ekwah who could be a very good prem standard player doesn't look arsed. Mowbray said he needs a rocket up his arse. Seems a good lad but also heard Hemir turning up late or last minute to training, heard coaches screaming at him from the touchline to RUN! but just jogs about. I worry about the mentality of some of these lads

Here’s one I want to throw out for people to look at:

    Ian Evatt at Bolton.

Before you piss your nappy, let’s have a look why I’m mentioning him:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Evatt

2018-2020 got Barrow back league football after almost 50 years in his second season whilst playing possession based football, very attacking and prefers 3-4-1-2. So that’s wingbacks and two strikers. Nick named “FC Barrowcelona”.

    https://totalfootballanalysis.com/article/barrow-ian-evatts-barrowcelona-tactical-analysis-tactics

In 2020 he moves to Bolton in League Two and gets them up at first time of asking, they’re currently 3rd in League One and have a realistic chance of promotion. 2nd in the league for possession stats, 2nd highest goal scorers.

He is considered a progressive style coach with old school English sentiments ie willing to use new techniques and familiar with new school coaching techniques but willing to ground players in reality when required. He is definitely being looked at by other Championship clubs.

Not disagreeing with any of that, what matters now is that they get it right.
Like I said nobody really wants Dodds and Proctor but unless or number 1 candidate is available now then that's the option we have to take for now.
Accepting that is the best thing for the club right now doesn't mean anyone actually agrees with what has happened since the summer.
I think 100% of fans will agree they got it badly wrong.
Doesn't mean they can't get it right in the summer

    Domenico Tedesco. 38 years old.
Managed Schalke, Spartak Moscow, RB Leipzip and currently the Belgian national manager.
    Overall win percentage of 53%.
Likes his teams to press, play fast, aggressive attacking football.

    Contract ends after the Euros.

    Maybe.....?

Edit: looks like his contract was extended to 2026.
    NEXT...

Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the entire world.

They have the most highly paid lawyers, advisers, football staff, etc.

Their choices of managers, to replace Ferguson a decade ago, have been much worse than ours, pro rata.
