Pretty embarrassing for those with hysterical claims about EH if true. https://www.newcastleworld.com/spor...-botman-replacement-as-deal-triggered-4563973
Howe is worse than Bielsa and I saw this all coming last year. The fact is that the evidence is now coming out along with the never ending injury crisis.
Something that really irks me is how little coverage we get anywhere. We have a boring squad, a boring manager, aren’t really aspiring to anything and a ludicrously repetitive game plan which is on top of a ludicrously repetitive injury situation. I dunno but I would’ve thought the new owners would want attention, glamour, ambition,’excitement. It’s ****ing dull as ****, From eddies banal conferences and subsequent tactics/selections to a relative inactivity anywhere (over two years to come to a stadium or even just a training ground decision? Jesus…). Whats the plan? The goal?
Last season, it was the opposite though wasn't it? Crest of a wave stuff. In the papers all the time, media was loving it.
Botman hasn't looked right since coming back. We seem to enjoy playing players when they're not ready to come back. Botman has been crap since he came back. Lascelles may have made a big mistake in the cup game but I think he was largely ok before then. He's been mostly ok under Howe. I'm not way to scared about this TBH. Botman has been a liability, Lascelles will probably be an improvement. Botman at his best is obviously better, but not recently he hasn't been. Lascelles also is probably best aerial threat also. Schar will move out to the left now, so we wont have the ridiculous duo of Botman and Burn left side. Gordon-----------------Isak------------------Almiron -------Willock---------Bruno-----Longstaff----------- Burn/Tino-------Schar------Lascelles---------Trippier ---------------------------Dubz-------------------------- Should be enough.
I've also been reflecting on the absence of Pope Although I think Dubz has done well, I do think Pope would have saved some of the goals we have conceded recently and if we had Pope, we'd probably be 4-6 points better off recently.
We need to fight for our lives and if we can just scrape that 7th position, we'll be in a much stronger situation next season. I think we can convince our bigger players to stay. And even if we cannot, we have the financial backing to continue moving forward.
