I’ve been around a lot of bisexuals. Not once have any of them mentioned ‘wouldn’t it be great if we changed the cross of St George on an England shirt to be the colours of the bisexual flag.’ It’s not a priority. It’d be meaningless and most likely people would be wary of Nike doing it as it would cause a backlash against LGBT people. Nobody has claimed that has anything to do with gender or sexuality except the people angry it’s to do with gender or sexuality. By all means be mad at the changing of the colours, but please leave us out if it this time.
Especially given the links of vanguard and Blackrock with Nike. Follow the chain and its always those two at the top.
So why are you so upset by people saying they don’t agree with something? Do you think it was a good idea?
I couldn't give a toss about the flag on the shirt. Who the **** genuinely honest-to-god cares about a little cross on the back of a football shirt that barely any ****er on here will buy and/or wear? Seriously? I'm much more bothered about some aiming criticism at certain groups of people as if they're the sole reason for everything apparently wrong with it. But that won't change on here anyways, I know the score.
Most people by far are aiming their comments at Nike, and to a lesser degree the FA for signing off on a ridiculous and disrespectful design.
So, they will be doing this with flags of other countries? Of course they won’t as there would be more of an outcry. But they know in this country some daft sods accept any **** about their own country.
Many thought the score was 0 - 0 but then right at the end someone came up and said actually it's 0 - 1 When people start to waffle on they often miss the most important point.
To be fair I think any angst is targeted at Nike. As you say there’s far bigger things to worry about than a collar. The price of the bloody things for a kick off!!!
I have never been one for buying replica kits for myself but it would be the price that stopped me buying one for kids, grandkids etc. Ironically they will have been made for a pittance in countries where any deviation from the sexual norm would have serious repercussions.
I think there’s a difference between being pro the change and going ‘meh’ I’m not going to let this bother me too much.
Yep. Yeah, it's definitely not good to be on here if your head's not in the right place. Take care bud.
I can think of many devout people, in some religions anyway, who were peaceful. Quill having a meltdown and doing a Syd, saying things that weren’t said. Can’t recall anyone saying he was a weird snowflake. The only insult in this thread was someone referring to people who did not approve of this silly idea about the cross as gammons. Another generalisation bandied about by some about those with a different viewpoint, Will you be buying some hot tick buns?
