    An infuriating par four

    Four hughies (4th letter missing)
Guessing game all the way through until the fourth attempt

The first & last Hughie, 1,3 & 5 (nee sign of any juicies), then a good choice from a few for a lovely birdie that I haven't had for a couple of days . . . . yes, 2 is a good number

n.b. I probably speak for all of us, Ron, when I say that we don't want a system or an app. to make this easier . . . . we're happy with it as it is <hug>

    I'm not sure what's worse:
getting close early then having so many options to finish it off, or
struggling to even think of a word

I suppose, with the latter, at least when you think of one, the chances of being right are higher (supposedly)

This game can be either relaxing or it makes your brain hurt. Still, at my age it is necessary to keep the brain active, if nothing else <laugh>

2nd guess opened it up but still left a guessing and I was using a theme and it worked

Tonight was in the latter category, struggling for words so happy with a 3. Maybe I just couldn't get my brain in gear as working until late. I can't even remember what the word was <doh>

Fuuny isn't. I couldn't think of many words. I suppose that first guess can leave one with a problem

My god Ron, we have similar attempts sometimes. I had a blank then only accumulated 2 yellows over guesses 2 and 3. Took ages to even come up with a valid word with what I had left and unbelievably got it for a par 4.

    It’s Friday and it’s a five again.
    - two yellows,
    - two yellows and a green,
    - three greens in the middle,
    - four greens except the last one.

One juicy, two, converted to Hughies, four Hughies before ending with a blinking bogey :undecided:
