Haven't seen enough of the lad but we are looking for a defensive center mid....anyone who has watched his progress think he can move into this position? He's a tall lad as well which will help on set pieces....
Goalie coaches often do the set pieces I think. We have had the most shots and conceded the 4th lest shots from set piece situations in the league. However we have scored the 13th most and conceded the 3rd most goals from them.
Been playing there recently for Hibs and is getting good reviews. Definitely worth a look there during pre season.
This is a really valid point. We don’t know the true guidelines or limitations from KLD. For all we know Speakman may want more experience however the wage budget means that’s not possible as older players are usually more expensive than youngsters. There is a reason KLD chose Speakman as DOF. If our wage budget is in the bottom few in the Championship as reported a few times (albeit all estimates) then Speakman is still overperforming vs investment. That makes the investment and choice of the right head coach even more critical to maximise the output of the squad.
So various outlets have Roy Keane as favourite for the job. I honestly can't see him working with our setup and he has been out of management for so long, which is a concern.
Off that list I’d go solskjaer personally, then Cooper. Admittedly I know little about Still but seems a gamble
I'd honestly take 4 of the first 5. Personally I'd take Parker too, but he wouldn't be a good fit with some of our fan base so it would cause unnecessary issues.
I could have seen heck get it if they wanted Dodds out now to be fair. He would jump through fire to take it too, I'd imagine anyway.
No chance Keane would come back. And why would we want him, knowing what we know about him now? His biggest success was with us fifteen years ago. For all the good times, ultimately he was just another one who could only buy his way out of a crisis.
He was the one I wouldn't want. I'm one of them that would happily have Keane. It might not be a perfect fit, but I'd be up for journey.
He might be instrumental in getting rid of Speakman - who has to take some (if not all) of the blame for the transfer and managerial cock ups
Cooper, OGS, for me Still I know nothing about but if its him so be it. Wouldn't be any of the bottom 5. Some of our supporters would have issues with parker and heckingbottom just doesn't do it for me. Might be an outsider that we don't know about yet.
Good lad is heck, nice to talk to and knows his stuff. Got a good mate who's friendly with him and been out in his company a few times. Soft spot for us with his time here
