I'm not against it mate, I'm all for inclusivity and bringing in the next generation.

But I've seen all this before and it doesn't often last.

Do you remember the Palace Cheerleaders who were supposed to be the shape of things to come ...

.... vanished without trace along with every other initiative I've seen.

Other than corporate catering I've never seen anything endure tbh.

You're right, I'm not the target audience, I never buy anything in the ground, I just don't think the income will match the outlay.

This isn't a reading room mate.

You're last contribution was yesterday, "I have a BMW active tourer plug-in hybrid."

    Absolutely fascinating <doh>

If you want better content, on this forum, why don't you try posting something that isn't boasting about your BMW?

Your last three threads have been about people dying.

There's been a lot of discussion today about plans for a big improvement to the SOL ...

... if, as a Sunderland supporter, that's of no interest why don't you just f*ck off elsewhere?

They still exist. Not really sure how me and the club wanting the ground to be a nicer place is comparable to cheerleaders but ok.

Spurs are said to earn £800,000 per matchday on catering alone. Their ground is open 2 hours before and after the game with bars, food stalls, the club shop all open.

This isn't going away. These things matter and I will applaud the club for eventually doing it.

The last 20 or so posts are why posters from other places keep away from here.

    Sort it out.

Is there any need for this ...

    "Checked in for two minutes.

You said but you said but you said.

    Blah blah blah.

Someone comes on, makes no contribution whatsoever and takes the piss ...

... if he can say what he likes, why can't I?

If he's being rude surely he should be able to take it back.

As I said earlier, if you want better content try posting some ...

.... have you every contributed a thread on here, or do you just want to pop on to amuse yourself?

    You sort it out.

Some would say you aren't making a contribution and are constantly rude.

    I'm agreeing with you.

Any initiative, from the club, will be fine with me and I hope they achieve what they set out to.

However I'm still entitled to my own opinion which is that people won't arrive 2 hours before kick and won't stay after the game ...

... lots of people can't manage to stay after 80 minutes tbh.

Perhaps it's a NE thing, not a generation thing, and people want to spend their time in town or their own village.

I've absolutely no idea but I believe that's the case.

    Well they'd be wrong.

I'm deliberately and happily rude when people come on being rude.

Are you saying that post wasn't rude, seriously I'm asking for your opinion.

Someone who's only post today was a dig at this forum and who's last contribution was boasting about his BMW yesterday.

I'm not constantly rude at all, loads of my posts are fine, many are informative or simply about the matches.

I get on with the majority of posters, and them with me, but I'll fight fire with fire ...

.... if people don't like that they should perhaps think before they post.

Be polite with me and I'm always polite in response, always.

As a red manc i will just throw in what a difference concourse catering and bars plus outside food outlets and bars in quick build tents have made to City.
For games literally thousands start turning up 2-3 hours brfore the game for food and a few drinks with friends before taking their seats in the ground and quite a few stay after games to chill out too.

Sounds like spurs and City have tapped into a market that we need to try and emulate. Making our concourse more attractive and fit for purpose is going to be the greatest challenge.

Not sure what it's like now but pretty sure Spurs had a beer contract with Beavertown. Crazy progressive to stock craft beer and get away from the piss water that runs through hundreds of feet of pipes we are used to.

I've got a few mates who are Spurs and they all drink in the ground, rather than outside. I've not been but from what I hear it's pretty good inside the ground.

It's quite good at West Ham too. They've got two Brixton beers on (even though its owned by Heineken now) and, as well as the bars and kiosks inside the ground, there are bars and foodstands on the 'island' just outside the ground. Its got a bit of buzz to it in that area. I think they have to do something though as it would be a bit sterile otherwise.

Customer satisfaction and the matchday experience are very important and I am sure steps are being taken to look into this aspect of the operations, however Rome was not built in a day and I think that sorting out our internal systems IE the youth teams and academy, sports science and nutrition have been critical to us turning the club around and as Prehab stated somewhere we still have a way to go on this with further investment needed in things like cryochambers and treatment rooms. I do understand that our owner is wealthy and could just write a cheque like he did for the initial replacement of the playing surface but I also think that whilst a broken hand dryer or poor internet may be a bug bear for some people I am patient enough to wait a while as we get other areas of the club back to the best they can be first.
