Guess this explains the rumours of a loan. Does that mean we are getting those flashy light show floodlights that seem popular? I really hope the club maximise the pr during all the work, can't wait to see the full new pitch going down
I posted this* to someone on here, by pm, just to put it on record before the press release. There's other things I told him that I can't yet post but, hopefully, these ludicrous invented facts and fantasies will quieten. They wont stop because some people have such massive grudges that they never remove their blinkers for a second. On RTG yesterday they'd decided that KLD was selling up because, as a new father, he doesn't have the time or inclination to run the club and certainly doesn't have the money. Yet simultaneously he does have the time, inclination and money to buy and run Marseille, one of the most intense clubs in Europe. Total guesswork and a fair amount of spite ... ... thankfully the vast majority are reasonable people who want the best for the club. Off to work now, have fun. *"Hi mate, hope you're doing well over there. I've had to knock off posting for the moment, the stories being posted are absolutely insane and I've lost patience with it. Some people are actually swallowing these fantasies. This continual insistence that the club is for sale is nonsense, the idea that 'the board' want KLD out is ludicrous, he appointed them and they're people he's grown up with. I can't post this but I know, for certain, that KLD has sanctioned substantial work, on the SOL this summer, which everyone will benefit from. I'm telling you, and only you, because I like you and know you won't repeat it .... you're too far away to gossip"
Fantastic to see more investment in the infrastructure of our club, as some have said its def long over due. This shows to me that KLD is committed to us, if hes looking to sell why invest good money into stadium improvements Look forward to seeing the improvements
Good news, I'm around the SoL general area quite a lot and its always narked me how unsightly things were becoming. Can't wait to see the finished works
Great news and hopefully silences some of the noise and speculation. There are certain parts of our fan base unhappy with the current situation and using their perceived status of importance (whether it's being part of a club fanzine or having some tangible link to ITK) to add their negative slant to a factual action and it's becoming toxic.
Exciting news and nice to have something more positive to talk about. Never know what’s going on behind the scenes but just in my opinion this strongly suggests that KLD isn’t looking to sell (time will tell). And if I’m honest I would be happy if that’s the case, big learning curve for him this season but I cant be arsed for another upheaval of a new owner so soon after KLD came and the obvious risks of new ownership. Has to improve after this season of course and there are plenty of fair questions being asked but mistakes can be made and I think this is a positive sign of his commitment
This is really good news and is much needed. A good time to release the news as well as we all needed something positive. I like how structured it is, (phase 1 hospitality, next year this) almost as if there is a plan! As much as it feels like the wheels have come off really quickly we could get back on track really quickly as well. Investment and improvement in the stadium, a good new head coach and some decent signings and we’ll all be wondering what the panic was.
If they are keeping the away fans upstairs, I hope they sort out the missile problem and enhance the cctv so that they can spot the launchers.
Gerrin, good to hear. As Bob said, KLD has taken the AoL to the next level, time for the SOL to get some TLC
Not according to those otr, apparently he's still tight and this is the reason he's loaning money off the Americans so he doesn't have to use his own. Unbelievable, if the newspaper headline was KLD has solved sunderlands striker crisis by personally funding a multi million pound deal to bring Haarland to the SOL some would complain he was only doing it so he could pocket the money from the shirt sales.
Hope the steelwork that wraps around the stadium is given a lick of paint. It’s looking badly in need of it. Bart
