KLD has just become a dad for the first time. That’s why he appears to be preoccupied.

This place at the moment is the worst it's ever been in my opinion. Feels like the lunatics have taken over the asylum and there's nowt to be done about it beyond hoping that whatever the club does in the future pleases them and they shut up for a bit.

It's all very well saying it's just passion and we all want the same thing but it doesn't make it any less obnoxious a place to spend time in. It was better when we were utterly ****e in L1 with Parkinson in charge, somehow.

A month ago apparently no wonder he’s been busy. Good luck to the lad

I don't really have an issue with arguing, disagreements etc etc so long as they don't spoil a thread. The written word can be so much worse than if it was said in person.

By the same token anything even vaguely negative is seen as just as terrible.

As I said earlier it works both ways

Well that is one way of interpreting it I suppose.

My intention was not to call you or anyone else boring or petty per se. Nor was it to claim you post crap or directly cause posters to leave. However, I do find the incessant jumping on what Bob posts boring and petty in isolation. I cant put it on ignore because I value what folk say more widely. I personally appreciate Bobs input as much as everyone elses, without necessarily agreeing with it all. The place would be worse off without him.

To be fair though, "I think Speakman needs to rethink his choice of Head Coach for these reasons [insert valid points here]" is a lot different to "Speakman is a twat, his choice of head coach is an ugly twat, he was **** when he was at [insert large foreign team here] because he didn't win every game, and if you don't agree with me you don't know anything about football"

One stimulates debate, the other provokes animosity. We've had too much of the latter and not enough of the former recently.

I know what you mean, and on the face of it would look a long shot.

Here is an alternative. I do believe he has shown past interest in coming back here. Dont know about now, but in the past I think so. I might well be misremembering but I think he might have helped with a deal from France a year or two back. His experience as DoF and now coach is quite unique, or at least uncommon. Wrong way round almost. He isnt going to get PSG, nor likely a top champions league job I suspect, partly because of that. Might he not see a long game at a club I think he has an affinity too? Maybe I am too romantic in this but I would like to think there is something in it from his side.

Out of interest would you have him on a shortlist? I would. Not a shoe in, but I would certainly entertain the idea of him coming here.

I agree, but again the positive side can be just as harsh in comments and neither stimulate debate.

Anyway, I'm trying to learn about these fancy foreign coaches that have been mentioned. Much more interesting I think you would agree

Yeah I absolutely would. As you say he is well versed in the DoF model, the Brest team has been pulled together on a shoe string and is fairly young, the bench is often filled with teenagers. They play some interesting football, quite direct but they have some great rotations in midfield. If he's willing to come he should at least be considered, just struggle with how realistic it is.

With Roy, Still, Farioli mentioned what's the opinions of the French league?

A proving ground for up and coming coaches? Doesn't appear to be as dominated by money (psg apart)
