Interesting finishes that year.Hull top, Hull KR second and the next league down(Second Division) was won by Fulham.
The season after HKR were top and Hull second, strange that it was also a brilliant time to be a City fan.
True and who'd buy that shower? And for how much ?..If Sir Adam is losing money hand over fist, he's hardly likely to let it got for less than what he is owed, but that might mean selling it is a no--no...Other way would be to go into administration and sue the club for the money, but not sure if that would work as HMG would have first dips on any ££££. Whatever the case, HFC are in the $hithouse.
What was Pearson thinking of in the first place buying Hull FC. It was never going to be anything like the opportunity buying City was with a new stadium in the wind. Shocking Business decision.
So, the annual pre Christmas appeal to members to renew paid off. Also, how much does the coach get paid? Not a bad job right now wth little pressure knowing most people expect them to finish in the bottom 4. Long live the gravy train!
Also heard Fc were offered to the Allams no less then three times before Adam bought/took them on. Didn't he also put some of the money he made from selling City into Derby County just before they went pop too?
Last season or the one before I was asked to invest in FC by a mutual friend….same week I got asked to invest in scunny when it looked like they were going to go pop… couldn’t say no quick enough. Hate both clubs. Not wasting my kids inheritance propping up that ****e for a tiny % return….
I don't know how true that figure is but it was also quoted as a reason the club lost some local sponsors recently. I have heard from some prominent people at Rovers, prominent as they put money in, that they have some sympathy for Pearson because no-one is stepping forward to share the work load/cost with him. I don't think for one minute that the financial situation is healthy at Fc and if Pearson is taking out a considerable wedge then he will earn every penny of it taking that lot on.
Best solution is merge. Hull FC can keep the Hull part of their name and keep the white from their kit and KR can keep the Kingston Rovers part of their name and the red from their kit. Job’s a good un.
My solution would mean one team called Hull Kingston Rovers playing in red and white. Thought you would approve.
