not sure waiting for till the end of the season is the way to go... We need someone in quick, the players look lost...these are not bad players, but the life is being sucked out of them. As I see it, we are setting ourselves up to fail next season with players with no confidence and the better ones being sold.
Like I keep saying I don't disagree but the buying of younger players was essential over the last 2 to 3 years to enable the club to develop as it had been decimated by the previous regime. Buying too many older players at that time would have been a mistake as we have had to rebuild a solid base from which to work. That was not here previously and it has meant we have had to develop young players in the first team effectively using an under 23 squad as the first team. We do need some more established players and for the fist time we now look like we can start to trade/move some of our younger players around and then look for the right blend to supplement what we have where previously our options on that front were very limited due to numbers and the fact our youth teams were not up to scratch. Over the last 2 years this has changed and as a club we look like we are starting to build a solid base to move forward but I guess that is not as important to some fans who were probably the same fans screaming out for the club to have a plan. That plan is in place and patience is required to see if it will work. I admit my hopes for this season were much loftier than where we sit now but I still think patience is require or we may just end up back where we started just over 2 years ago.
The problem is quick fixes do not generally work long term. If the club had gone through with appointing Farioli and getting rid of TM at that time their would have been uproar but the truth is in the long run it may well have been a wise decision. The manager we want may not be available until the end of the season (possibly Still), or he may be taking time off to spend with family (Cooper), or any number of other coaches for any number of different reasons. I would rather wait for the right man than pick somebody to fill a gap.
I wonder if the international break might be when they bring someone in. Limp to the break and bring in the man they want permanently or someone to the end of the season. They are on life support and while relegation looks unlikely it’s also difficult to see where the next win is coming from.
I think KLD would if he thought there was any chance of relegation. That would be a catastrophe for the club and his own personal investment.
Not sure he is even fully invested. Hasn't been at last 6 games or so. Went quiet after the mag game. Now there is this loan. I think he will get out of he gets his price
They're a disgrace and there's a few on here who don't seem to like the owner, sporting director, coaches, half the players and most of the stadium staff. Dodds is a spy, Speakman is an arrogant fool, KLD is a conman, etc etc etc. Heaven help us if the club is sold, everyone replaced and they feel the same about the new people ... ... we'll have to live through this relentless hatred all over again
If someone they want becomes available and they don't go for it, then it proves what some are saying - they're not able, or not willing, to react to changing circumstances.
I know QPR lacked quality but the improvement from under Ainsworth was impressive. Cifuentes has done a very good job and is getting the most out of a very limited squad. They were really well organised and played some decent stuff. Another example that there are good coaches out there if you don't just look at who is out of work at the time. He wouldn’t be my first choice but he wouldn’t be a bad option for us. He’s worked previously in youth coaching, has promotion on his CV, knows the Championship and plays decent football.
But it's not hatred towards the club name or the fans it's aimed directly at the top table for all the **** they have created themselves. People think he is the new saviour, he is in it for a learning curve, before bigger and better comes along.
Does Graeme Atkinson state how many of those sides were relegated from the PL the previous year through not being good enough ... ... and does he state how many are promoted and typically come straight back down? Err no, didn't think so.
