I’m not necessarily talking about position, but the actual attributes they possess, Neil possesses certain abilities the others don’t have and vice versa.
It could have been close but while Neil progresses steadily, Ekwah has somehow gone backwards since he came back from injury. I don't know what's wrong with the lad, he's got all the attributes and tries but he's treading water at best. Might be one of those players who only plays well when the team is flying and can't deal with the tough times.
Awful game of footy that. Was impressed with there sub forward Sinclar. He'll probably hit the target this season.
I can see why you'd think that after such a glowing review of our performance. "Another contender for worst performance of the season for me." "Struggling to think of a positive tbh" "hemir was dreadful, styles got beat easily most times, ba awful, jobe anonymous"
QPR were poor, very poor. We were dreadful. Very fortunate to get a point is a stretch imo, there was very little quality in the game with QPR having 1 great chance at the end that forced a save from Patterson. If there was a team that should have won it was QPR but did they do enough over the 90 to deserve a win, maybe, maybe not. Not sure how it’s red and white tinted glasses to have that opinion, both teams can be poor in the same game.
Lol, probably one of my most negative posts. I try to say it how I see it but always try and look for positives. Probs the least tinted post I could’ve made
Don't disagree with any of it, just struck me as an ironic post to label as rose tinted. The only positive from today was the point, let's move on and hopefully play better next time around.
I watched the whole 90 minutes and it wasn’t a great game. However, in the first twenty minutes the game could and should have been all over. You were pressed hard and were panic stricken at the back. Rangers should have scored when Andersen had a great chance. As you rightly point out the big chance in the game came right near the end. For the last twenty minutes Sinclair Armstrong absolutely terrorised your defence and you know Willock should have scored. Your injury woes meant you were there for the taking, it was easy to see why you are on such a dire run. Hope you find some form soon, the break may just come at a good time for you.
Totally agree with most of what you say but what really stands out is that we are finally in a position where we need to look at which youngsters we should let go as for 2 years we did not really have a strong enough academy or junior players where we could look at that so really that is testament to the rebuild that has been done. I do think that this window is really a big test for KS ad they need to remember that the vision and expectations need to be balanced. I also think the head coach situation needs sorting but I am relaxed enough to wait until the end of the season if it means we get the right man for the job. I do not want a short term or makeshift appointment.
Pretty turgid today but we’ve stopped the rot. I thought Aouchiche was good and Hjele/Ballard looked a decent partnership albeit we were nervy as **** at the back and have Patto to thank for our point. Hopefully the international break is a time to rest and reset whilst getting some bodies back
Thanks again RTB but having read each and every post on this thread don’t think I have the stomach to watch this at the moment - perhaps later when I have recovered some optimism.
It’s a tough watch. It was hard to endure the whole 2 minutes, my hat goes off to the fans that suffered the full 90. Still, it’s a point and it might be a needed one come the end of the season.
I am not a scout or a coach, but I know there will be better around, you think not? Stop watching football would be my advice
There’s that line. Every time someone says someone isn’t very good and there are definitely better, this line comes out when they’re asked who. Because the scouts obviously can find these players easily. Perfectly indicated by the fact that we currently have a top striker scoring goals for us
