I thought it touched one of their players that was in a offside position, which is what Max had his hand up for.. looked close to be fair
While we are on the subject of the commentators they said that they didn't think we have a game plan and are playing a hybrid type game. If ever there was a half that sums us up then this has to be one of those whereby we look lost at times and I have to say their players use midfield way better than us and the chances created are far superior. Mehmeti has put in a good shift but there is nobody to use his play to our advantage although in his usual way he tends to hold onto the ball just a bit too longer than needed. We need to up the ante in the second half otherwise their creativity could tear us apart as the legs will get tired and mistakes will become more frequent.
A poor 1st half for both sides, but yet again, were the one a goal down. That’s the fine margins in this league. WBA have not looked like a side 10 places above us. Sat with WBA fans who are saying the same
We seem to have that tendency of making supposedly good teams look quite ordinary and so why is that? There were times in the first half where we looked capable of moving forward with intent but watching the lack of creativity and finishing around their penalty area makes me weep at times.
Way too easy for WBA and now we look vulnerable at the back and the score could easily get ugly if we continue in this shabby mood.
Gardner-Hickman is treading a fine line and he should have been booked on a couple of occasions but the base problem is he is poor in the tackle and that ticks him off and he reacts badly.
Sports10 is what I am watching. Shocking midfield play gives WBA another chance which they don't cash in this time and then it follows with another shot.
These matches just show how far we are away from being a challenger and I think the mediocrity and apathy oozes from every pore including the manager and players.
