Bullseye legend and darts commentator Tony Green has died aged 85 after a battle with Alzheimer's.

Green was the announcer and co-host of the beloved ITV darts game show from 1982 to 1995.

His death comes six years after fellow Bullseye host Jim Bowen passed away in March 2018 aged 80. The pair worked together on the Sunday afternoon show for 13 years.

    Duncan Fearnley, 83. RIP.

I reckon a few of us have brandished one of his bats in our time.

He was a massive fan of Steve Marriot and while fronting The Raspberries, he attempted to sing like him...

Overnight Sensation was played quite heavily in 1974 but wasn't a hit in the UK surprisingly. His big solo hit (All By Myself) was based on Rachmaninoff's 2nd Piano Concerto - on YouTube there's a video where he plays the full version live on 'Midnight Special' and it's worth watching as he was clearly a talented pianist.
He didn't realise that the Rachmaninoff Estate held the copyright to the music so had to come to an agreement to pay a percentage of royalties to it.

Sad news. I remember Gerry Summers signing for us. Did he come from Sheffield United ? £10k? mid field player, bit of a footballer, also played for Hull Cricket Club at The Circle. Ken Houghton also played in the same cricket team at the time as did Fred Cowell, opening bat if I remember correctly. Fred worked with our YTS/Juniors lads for as long as I can remember.

I remember him playing, and yes, I believe he came from Sheff U. My cousin lives next door to Ken Houghton these days and I asked her a few days ago how he was, and she said general quite well, just not easy to get around, but ex-footballers often suffer from that in later life.
