RR, you’re gonna hate it when it all starts coming together next season.. I’m sure you’ll put it down to Nige in some form or other.
I don’t actually find it boring - mostly. I think we are passing the ball quicker and more accurately than we were under Nige - and sometimes the quick little exchanges look really good. Under Nige we seemed more ‘static’. As I said - it’s strange how we can all watch the same games but see completely different things - it’s a funny old game!!!!
I really do wonder if he will still be in job come next season. If he struggles with these last 9 games i reckon it will be the end-When you have BT coming defending his appointment and asking the fan base to get behind him as the majority are not then it will be a downward spiral unless he can miraculously turn things around.
Personally I much prefer it compared to what we had before...but it needs polishing and I'm sure LM will address it when/if he gets the chance in the summer.................................................................and when it does come together a few on here is going to hate it
Nige is gone end of, can you think of anyone that would want to come here and would be available that you'd want instead.......and don't say bloody Warnock
Not at all would be over the moon-i just don't see it -Tinman says LM is learning on the job-we should never have a manager with only league one experience in the first place-should have been the quality and experience of Nige at the very least.Perhaps our owners do not like experienced guys like Coppell and Pearson who see through it.
R&W As a spectacle against Swansea it was terrible. The first half in particular being happy to stand off their keeper and CDs was mind numbing. I understand what Garry Kasparov is saying and right not to press, it's what they wanted..........but as a spectacle ?...... You really are having a laugh.
v v Any of these would be excellent proper managers with pedigree Or could this man come back and finish the job
I think the reputation of our club and its owners within the game possibly does us no favours. Those 3 are all very good Managers, so why would they come within 1000 miles of us ?
Yes I agree - which is why I caveated my comment. Watford, Southampton, the 3 cup games and Ipswich (even though we lost) I thought we played well. VERY well in fact.
With the issues in the past you can see why the standard of manager prior to Nige has been poor-have to say gobsmacked when he took the job-gutted when he left and we are now back to a normal quality Bristol City manager sadly.
sideways, forwards, reach half way line pass back to Max who is doing a Frankie Fielding and kicking out of play, it’s sending everyone to sleep, imagine sitting through 23 games at home watching that. Atleast counter attacking under Nige was slightly more exciting. Manning needs time of course he does no one is arguing against it, he was meant to improve and better our current set of players and he’s not achieving that. The atmosphere at home games is simply not going for him and the crowd won’t give him the time he “deserves”, the match going fans are fed up and I can only see it getting worse unfortunately.
I referred to this a while ago with ROD (I think)....... I admire those fans who spend hard earned money who take the time and effort to actually attend. It's bad enough from my armchair but those who go deserve much credit. I can't stand tippy tappy back to Max fired into touch. Fingers crossed it gets better soon. ps For Scooby's benefit.......we have to stick with LM till the Autumn.
I agree. As a spectacle for those paying to watch, it's painful..... I hope the crowd can stick with it till the summer.....and let's see where it goes. The way the like of Liverpool and Man City play.........yes. Most clubs in the Championship will try to emulate the 'modern way' next season. The clubs with the quality will be top 3 and most likely the clubs coming down will fill 2 of those places. A play off position is our only hope. Quality will be the overriding factor, I hope LM is allowed a free hand in the summer.
proper managers that have respect and experience that is what we require to go forward -unlike a league one very inexperienced guy that was apparently going to take us on from Nige
