Exactly right. The price of the house isn’t actually going up. The value of the your money is going down. Once you understand this, you understand how the government is secretly stealing from you, and why everyone feels a crushing sense of nihilism.
Absolutely insane Hollywood propaganda. That is literally the ramblings of a mad man. Anyone that believes that sort of drivel that comes from actors really needs to take a long look in the mirror. Any time an actor, sports person or anyone from outside of politics tries to influence the public before an election, you can pretty much guarantee they’re one of three things: 1) been bought and paid for 2) being blackmailed 3) don’t have a clue what they’re talking about and should be ignored anyway
no he isn’t. He’s not a dictator at all. And of course he has redeeming features. You’ve been suckered into propaganda there mate
No, not at all, if anyone doesn’t think Trump is anything but trouble has been taken in by his propaganda bollox.
And the continuing destruction of the NHS goes on with the use of unqualified people making medical decisions being considered a good thing by the Tories - unless you can afford to pay for treatment. DOCTORS have warned that plans to increase the use of physician associates in the NHS could lead to a two-tier healthcare system and put vulnerable lives at risk. They fear patients’ access to fully qualified GPs could be hampered by the changes – unless they go private. Physician associates, or PAs, do not attend medical school, instead completing only a two-year postgraduate course. They were intended to help doctors with everyday tasks, working under supervision. But doctors told us PAs increasingly give medical advice and treatment. The alert follows the death in 2022 of Emily Chesterton, 30, of Salford, from a pulmonary embolism after being misdiagnosed twice by a PA at a London GP practice. The Government is now planning to treble the number of PAs working in the NHS. Dr Alison George, a GP from Newcastle, said it is a Tory “quick fix” to waiting lists that will lead to inequality. She said: “The public will be seen by, I believe, a ‘doctor-like’ service – with a few doctors dotted about. To guarantee seeing a doctor, you’ll have to pay or be insured. It’s a downskilling, downgrading of healthcare which will affect people on lower incomes, and the vulnerable or disabled, more than people with money.” Consultant cardiologist Professor Mamas Mamas warned: “There’ll be a situation where those with private insurance will see a senior doctor and those without, increasingly, will see individuals with no medical training. “Having PAs see unselected patients in primary care, in the emergency departments, doing procedures, I think it is inappropriate and not safe.” In a British Medical Association poll, 87% of members felt NHS use of PAs and anaesthesia associates was “always” or “sometimes” a risk to safety. The Department of Health said new rules to regulate both roles will be in place this year, adding: “PAs have worked in the NHS for two decades. They have been found to be safe.”
And the Tories, ans a result of underfunding, are also intent on ****ing up the chemists, that they want to enlist to do some of a GP’s work. EIGHT in 10 independent chemists have said their business is “unsustainable”, as Rishi Sunak urges them to do more to help ease pressure on the NHS. A National Pharmacy Association poll of 500 chemists also found 85% often make a loss on prescriptions. To keep businesses going, 64% use savings or family backing and 79% of chemists or staff don’t take proper pay. The Pharmaceutical Journal found 20% have cut opening hours since 2022. The NPA’s Paul Rees said this is inevitable due to underfunding, adding: “It’s a matter of time before many of these pharmacies run out of options and close permanently.” Last year, 394 pharmacies closed, NHS figures show. The PM last month revealed plans to free up GP slots by letting chemists prescribe antibiotics and antivirals for common conditions.
As soon as you hear the word “dictator” about Trump, you instantly know you’re being lied to Trump is many things, but one thing for sure - he was democratically elected and millions of voters voted for him. To call him a dictator is cheap imo. Btw on a different note, if anyone needs some light entertainment, a new show on Netflix called “American conspiracy: the octopus murders” has had my jaw on the floor this week. Amazing documentary

The government are bragging about their new law to stop migrants from bringing dependents with them, even though they know it will damage the NHS and Social Care and other areas. They will probably continue with their scorched earth approach to making things as difficult as possible for the next government, even especially if it harms the country. Jail would be too good for some of them.
We have the highest tax burden in living memory, and our public services are all in crisis, so I have to agree with your point 2). One has to ask, where the bloody hell is the money going?
Brexit costs, Trident non-deterrent, the total bollocks that is the Rwanda scheme and paying ministers legal fees come to mind. There's huge waste ongoing. https://www.bestforbritain.org/scandalous_spending_tracker
It's tory scorched earth policy another instance below. https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-68538951 "The UK needs to build new, gas-fired power stations to ensure the country's energy security, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said on Tuesday. The new stations would replace existing plants, many of which are aging and will soon be retired. But the government says the plans do not include measures for climate change-limiting carbon capture."
All of which pale in comparison to the £128bn spent on interest servicing the national debt. 12% of the annual budget. That is more than the cost of the state pension. The UK government needs inflation to remain high to lessen the impact of the collosal deficits of the covid era.
Clawing back the billions and prosecuting those responsible for covid fraud would go some way to redressing the balance. As would investigations into the awarding of government contracts, national and local, and their delivery. Add investing in HMRC compliance teams, a self financing effort as has been previously posted. None of the above will be popular amongst those who bankroll the current corrupt incompetent incumbents.
