<peacedove>Manchester City losing to Napoli last night puts them in the position
of not qualifying for the knock out stage of the champion league. It is not in their hands
any longer they have to depend on Vialarreal to beat Napoli for them, and at least they
need a draw against B.Munich.Valarreal are yet to get a point in all the games they
played so far.Roberto Mancini an italian has to fire up Viarreal to beat an Italian club
Napoli.Football crazy, having said that,Manchester City are they going to take their
    frustration to Anfield.?
Liverpool are yet to lose at Anfield this season, although the results are not very good
too many draws.Liverpool are also capable of ending the unbeaten run of Manchester
City on Sunday.Manchester City..this is Anfield.!!;)

They've got such depth in their squad its hard to know, although after winning at the bridge its a good time for us.

On a seperate note, I think we should definately consider putting a bid in for cavani in jan, he looks class infront of goal and no doubt he could teach carroll a thing or two. I just hope city get though ahead of napoli otherwise he might want to stay on there longer.

It makes no difference when we play them. It's up the kenny and the boys to implement a plan to beat them

Flipping the question round is also a good idea.....

Is it a good time for Man City to be facing Liverpool? We are a team that can play many different games, we can be deadly on the counter, we can dominate midfield.

Man City had nearly a whole 45 mins to try and equalise last night and couldnt. We need to put them under pressure and raise questions in their minds.........

Last year Chelsea were unstoppable until they played us, we did them and they looked a shadow for the next month or so....

if we were to win against City and damage their morale (certainly not a foregone conclusion) then we have to make sure we start puttin away the lesser teams or we are going to gift Man Utd the league again by destroying the competition......

i think if we can beat them sunday it wil lput us right in contention. But with the way they have been playing in the prem a draw would be a good result to be honest

Im confident we can beat them, if we get stuck into them some of their player's will bottle it like they did last season at Anfield.

Look, I said before the Chelsea game it was the wrong time to play them because I couldn't see them losing two at home consecutively. It's no difference for this game but I think playing teams at the wrong time is a myth. Just like this Man City squad! They are not unbeatable and are basically doing what Chelsea were doing last season...and look who stopped their great start...Roy Hodgeson FFS!

Still think we will lose though.

Will KK go with Carroll for this game? Did well last time out, but you can't look past how well Maxi, bellamy, Kuyt and Suarez all complimented each other ( then ran out of steam).

we will need to adopt similar tactics to napoli..that is men behind and around the ball esp when Silva has it and then attack their fullbacks both of whom looked vulnerable last night.
If they play Dzeko and Lescott then I think we have every chance.

Players should be up for this game, hoping to be the first team to beat City in the league and recording back to back victories against 2 "big" teams will really show the rest that we are a force this year. However it will only mean something if we can then follow it up in the next game as well!

all in all i think its a good time. suarez should be better after the rest he'll get... city had to travel this week..... we are picking the defense on form it seems seeing carra is not back in....

i think we are pretty well off even if gerrard is out, they will win the league this year if the keep going so the main thing is we have our best team available and should be ready to go

Mancini showed last night with his team selection that the Liverpool game was the priority.Zabaleta and Kolorov are a world apart from Richards and Clichy.Last seasons mauling was the only time we've been seriously outplayed in every department(maybe Bayern away?) so I expect a different City to last year to match the passion of Liverpool rather than be totally overrun.

No chance,Mancini wants the CL as much as he wants the Prem and the City squad shows that he could basically have played 2 different teams last night and against us.

Its like your making excuses for City's crap CL campaign(so far),City will play weakened sides in the FA Cup but not the CL.

I don't think there is a good time to play City really.
We need to show the same fight we took to Chelsea but keep it a lot tighter, mistakes will be costly.
If Ba had scored for Newcastle at 0-0 it could have been a different game so we need to be clinical.

I have no doubt we can beat City but we will need to be at the top of our game to do it. Keep defensively solid and hit them on the counter, hoping Kenny starts with a pacey lineup like we did vs Chelsea. Don't want to see our forwards getting isolated we will need players like Suarez to drop back and cover the midfield when City have the ball.

    Looking forward to this one!
