A relief. Another 6 points and we can look forward to a busy summer of quality signings. Thought Roberts did well when he came on and Dickie our best player........a real leader today.
The performance doesn't sound great but 3 valuable points. Low possession % but Swans didn't have a shot on target. Onward and upward well done LM and the team, can't have been an easy week.
Spot on there R&W, only one thing to dispute. a win is a win but that was a poor win not a good one............ We've got them down there at the rustbucket Council stadium next Saturday going for the double double........
What a stupid, petty remark. Of course I’m happy, we’ve won, it doesn’t change the performance or the predicament we’re in. If you’re happy with that level of performance good on you, many aren’t hence the spaces in the stadium.
Of course I’m not happy with these performances, as I wasn’t under Nige. Im just not rose tinting it that it was so much better under him.
We have never strayed far from the horrible football that we have produced over many seasons and to be forced to put up with the same apathy year in and year out is testament to the lack of effort from the very top. The inability to find any decent players to create this challenge that we are always promised is mind boggling, and from the crop we have at the moment picking anyone to stay for the next campaign is difficult. We rarely have a season where we know that we will be competitive because we never find the right mix and if we see an opportunity to boost the squad in the January transfer we just look the other way and stumble on. I don't think Lansdown is prepared to invest a single penny more than is barely enough and so I see us wandering around like a load of lost sheep until he finally sells the club. The lack of due diligence will always leave us many bricks short of the necessary load to succeed in the Championship and sooner rather than later that apathy will cost someone dearly. Boring, dull and pathetic will rarely win the day but we got away with one today only because Swansea were just as bad.
A lot of truth in this Inver. That said, we could say the same v Cardiff last week, they were equally as poor, but found a way to score that we couldn’t, as we did to Swansea today.
Points mean prizes, in our case points means safety, today we got 3 points, terrific, well done all, we've played better and lost, swings and roundabouts, Up the City !
Recon 5 more and we should be alright but that was dreadful today. Went straight from ground to The star on the Weston road for a carvery -good day all round but I don’t see Manning as the man to take us forward. Thank god for Dickie keeps popping up with goals. As said not bringing a 9 in January and getting rid of Pearson big mistakes by the Clownsdowns. The grass clearly not greener on the other side.
