You stick Piroe and Ampadu into our side aged 24/3 we’d not be worrying about age.

That's all fair enough mate, I believe in those running the club because I want to.

In reality we've had a few bad months.

What we need is a good manager, our injuries back, three signings and a settled set up.

We have loads of talent at the club, it just needs organising.

    That specifically is my worry;
Cirkin and Alese back maybe Huggins, but Evans probably gone.
Presume Clarke will go and Ballard or Neil. Burstow back.
That’s a good few positions to fill and some quality to add. Our bad few months recruitment wise can’t be as bad again. I’m finding it hard to trust them at this point- you look back a bit further of course and those quality players I mention are the same recruitment teams signings but it’s definitely got worse.

Which is what makes me think that the recent failings (recruitment-wise) are down to factors beyond their control, rather than incompetence. It's very easy to start finger pointing and playing the blame game, and making up scenarios about how terrible everything is when things aren't going well, especially when you're on the outside looking in. The level headed thing to do though is look at what went wrong and learn from it.

Why wouldn’t we? Ampadu has had 3 awful loans before this season where he’s playing in a team expected to win the league - he’s also playing alongside Kamara who’s pushing on 30.. Piroe has only scored 11 goals this season in the best attack in the league. Put Ampadu in this team and it would be a 4th awful loan :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I think it's more than a bad few months recruitment. I'd say the last 3 windows have been awful. The 2 before that were very good but the issue is we might now lose a couple of our successful signings from those earlier windows in the next one and given the last few windows failure there's zero confidence that we will replace those outgoings adequately.

Just because he’s our best player doesn’t mean you have to play him every minute or every game, we have a very young team and I don’t think they should be playing 3 times a week doubt we’d see anywhere near the injuries we’ve had if we’d use the full squad properly.
That would also get other players upto speed quicker than just sitting on the bench all season.

I wouldn’t say awful, awful in certain positions, inconsistent in others I’d say but definitely regressing. This current point is my least level of trust. I watched Hemir closely the other night and he’s miles away, Burstow today the same. Just poor choices.

Mate Burstow and Hemir are miles away. Rusyn is ok but no way a centre forward. Look at the coaching scenarios. How can you trust them at this point ? Not feeling it at all after these last few games.

I mentioned about a week before he got injured that it’s not good flogging him for 90 minutes every week and that Mundle still wouldn’t come on for him.. then lo and behold :emoticon-0102-bigsm funnily enough the game before Stewart got injured I also said he never gets injured! Maybe I just need to keep me mouth shut in future

Rusyn is a CF, he has the attacking instincts and the work rate. He needs service.

If we want to win any games between now and the end of the season he's the only option we have to play up top. I can't understand how Dodds doesn't see it.

Don’t get me wrong, I would play him up top, our options are dreadful, but I wholeheartedly disagree he is a CF.

I don’t think we will go down.

But we do need some proper investment. It was always the danger when Clarke got injured that we would struggle to win a game.

If/when he leaves in the summer, if we don’t invest properly, relegation is a real danger.

2 years without a proven centre forward is farcical, if that carries on into next season then we can expect support to start dwindling.

Agree it’s unlikely but if qpr beat us the gap gets tighter and Huddersfield play Rotherham next week. The next three home games should be enough to keep us up but I have no confidence in Dodds to get it right. While Clarke and Robert’s are injured I don’t think we have the quality to drag us out of it if we get pulled into next few weeks

OK - where do I start

His 3rd stint Played 9, Won 2 lost 7. he's lost those games by a single goal - except for this game.

Yes I remember him very well - he didn't want to sign for us.

We have signed some talented young players, some of which you are happy to write off without being able to spell their names, never mind seeing them play <doh>
Amad and Michut were never 'ours' to lose. Batth has played 11 games for Norwich, Pritchard has fewer goals than Jobe, Gooch is a mackem and should have been retained.

We have a very young squad with some key players missing - it's a tough spell but not shambolic
OK so you don't like Speakman - no need for personal insults.

So why have you suddenly posted 15 times on this thread - when you hardly ever contribute to match threads apart from posting about leaving before the end of games or slagging off young players.
