Congrats Syd, enjoy the amazing feelings! Added benefit is that this news has, temporarily, seemed to have stopped the incessant bickering which is nothing short of tedious. So thanks for that as well.
Shelia??? WTF is that all about? Are you dyslexic? My late Mother was a Sheila(spelt correctly)...[/QUOTE] Mea culpa, many apologies. Oh, and not dyslexic, just moronic. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
You can’t say it will be the same next year until you see what forwards we have , because with better quality forwards , robust and relatable ones the whole performance could change or the outcomes . It’s not as if we are doing it with exactly those type of forwards are we? I’d rather watch City than or Preston , they are not pretty to watch
When my son was born, City won about five games on the trot straight after. Sydney, if you could swing a repeat of that I’d be very grateful
Congratulations Syd. And I’m sorry everyone but I can’t let this ‘winning’ argument go. I know some of us have already figured out the misunderstanding and are here for the ‘entertainment’, but the OCD in me has to clear it up: the word ‘winning’ can be interpreted in two ways in that sentence, to change the meaning of the sentence. It can either mean them (the opposition winning) or stopping us from winning. I’m sorry to drag this back up. Feels like the timing is wrong. And if you were on a wind-up Ben, well played! All in all, don’t get too emotional fellas. Let City do that for you.
Do you trust him to buy 'better quality forwards' next year? This is the guy who's signings include Connoly and Ohio in the striking roles. Or are we going to pretend that Connoly is ace and just unlucky with injuries and Ohio has not got a touch like Frank Bruno? Sharp is a proper striker but for whatever reason isn't being used.
So you’ve written off Ohio after about 80 mins of game time ? I nearly wrote off Robertson for being a runner with a cross come shot and an inability to defend far post headers - I was very wrong wasnt I ? You could be right or you could be wrong , but it’s a bit early . I’m not sure either way if Liam can choose strikers well I can see that he thought Connolly was someone with talent that he could mould, he’s had a couple of weird injuries and been poleaxed illegally by a keeper - I guess his head might be fragile after a hit and miss season . We haven’t wasted £100 mill on a winger like Man Utd have on Sancho . Like you I think Sharp should get a start and we should be told to feed him in the box - it could work but others on here think he was a waste of space - he’s also had about one games worth of time on the pitch , will he be match sharp ? Will his timing be out - a little
We don’t have to pretend anything, Connolly has 8 goals is 26 appearances so far this season, which is a better return than Delap’s.
I've not written Ohio off but the signs are there that he is another Oscar. Watch him when he tries to control the ball, he often loses control. 3 times (twice to slater) he ended up misplacing a pass and the intended recipient glared at him. In the warm up he was messing about trying to high five ingram who pushed him out of the way as he was trying to face shots. I get the impression he is a bit of a George weah's cousin but let's wait and see. I'd love nothing more for him to score a hat trick every week now and be able to say 'I was wrong' but as it stands he is way off championship level in my opinion.
If, and it is a big if, he starts getting picked again are you happy with him leading the line in a play off push and campaign?
Sharp is past it. Stupid signing. Too soon to judge Ohio ...but another stupid signing if he isn't going to play him given it's a short term loan. I can see him keeping Connolly which would be ridiculous (a good player but(.
Connolly has more then enough talent to be a fantastic footballer, unfortunately he just doesn't seem to have the desire/mental side of the game right so far.
Saw the Birmingham thread still very active and thought FFS is Syd still going? Congratulations mate. As she's an Aussie she'll undoubtedly grow up a big sports fan, just make sure you direct her to the right one and team
He's frustrating the hell out of the club behind the scenes because they know how good he could be but his head just doesn't seem to be in it.
