Leicester City are facing a points deduction next season if they are promoted to the Premier League. That’s the nightmare scenario awaiting the Foxes, should Enzo Maresca mastermind the club’s top-flight return, after it emerged there is an outstanding financial charge against them. Figures due to be released later this week will show that Leicester exceeded the permitted £105m losses allowed in their last three-year period before relegation. As the club failed to protect its' top-flight status, they dropped into the Championship - outside the jurisdiction of the Premier League - and into the clutches of the English Football League. But should they return at the first time of asking, it is understood that they will not escape punishment - and they could start their first campaign back with a negative points tally. The situation has been complicated because of the club's ongoing row with the EFL. As reported by Mirror Football, they are hoping to avoid a similar fate by selling players at the season’s end to bring their figures back inside the permitted losses allowed in the Championship. Several of Leicester’s promotion rivals are monitoring the situation and will make representation to the authorities if they feel they have been left at a disadvantage if there has been any rule-breaking. If the Foxes do make it over the line, they are likely to be hit with a charge instantly by the Premier League.
can we say enzo has not masterminded anything automatic promotion is absolutely expected with their squad the cheating ****s
Always found their support home and away to be ****e noise wise Sounds like no City forum I've ever come across! Maybe be mean Hull, as in FC, but can't imagine they're much better at the moment. "Because they've never won anything" is one ****'s response. What would we be like if we did ever win anything? And why does winning something suddenly turn a fanbase into miserable ****s?
Already having nightmares about McLoughlin trying to press high like Greaves/Jones. I’m optimistic about a result if Alfie is fit but think we’ll struggle without him. Not a slight on Macca who’s an excellent box defender, he just turns like a tank
They obviously haven’t come across @Howdentiger2 & @SydneyTiger14 then! Only joking fellas, honestly I’ll get m’coat…..
Alfie Jones was a guest at the Senior Tigers meeting yesterday, he said he’s been having treatment on the knock he got on Tuesday night but should be fine for the Leicester game.
Which one of the fifteen plus coats you probably own? The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
If clubs achieve promotion on dodgy finances and get found out they should be relegated back before the season starts as they did it on illegal terms therefore having a financial advantage over the rest being ‘honest’ - well possibly
I bet there’s loads of clubs on the brink of points deductions. I know it goes without saying but it’s a shame money plays such a big part in the game. I don’t think there will ever be a solution for it either. It will probably just gradually get worse. Ah well. Let’s be thankful we are not one of those clubs right now and know that we have a fantastic owner who clearly wants to do things the right way. As for the game: Hull City 2 Leicester City 2
