Im not condoning booing But its a way to show frustration Football is expensive to watch And our home form is shocking Sheff wed only have 2 less points at home Birmingham have the same with 1 less game So while we are 6th Doesnt mean its not frustrating at times
... and if he doesn't understand or realise why some are booing (out of frustration) then he's on a different planet. He shouldn't have raised it anyway, making it a far bigger issue than it currently was (hearing Sportstalk now talking about it).
So coaches - you tell and coach your players time and again to shoot given the opportunity and they don’t, or they get scared of effing up even though you’ve said you’d rather they did than didn’t - what do you do ? Assuming you’ve tried all available forwards but players like Jaden keep holding the ball too long , but would you drop him or others for avoiding responsibility ? Maybe some of you are right - change the style - now tell us what to ? Channel ball like Preston or Ipswich , down the wings cross it early ? If it works for them it might for us , do we have the players ? Come on managers it’s easy !!
On the subject of booing, it isn't good to hear but how else are fans meant to express displeasure/frustration at what they've seen? I suppose they could stop turning up, thankfully they don 't seem to have taken that option yet.
Extremely difficult to give an answer as we don't know what's being said behind closed doors, we don't know how they are being set up/coached, we don't know the reasons players are giving if they aren't doing as asked, we don't know training methods, we don't know what's being worked on.... Etc etc etc.
The club has done so much to get the fans in, cheap tickets and deals, pre match entertainment for kids and other stuff BUT people want to see a winning team. Simple as that.
I agree, the vast majority of clubs that fall short tend to tail off. It’s rare a club makes a sustained play off push over a number of seasons. There are only so many rabbits that can be pulled out of a hat too and we must be close to exhausting that supply.
Totally agree we don’t but there are lots on here who make educated guesses - oops sorry - facts as to why things are ‘not working’ . I’m sat on the fence with Liam I can see from an early time what he was looking to do possession wise but teams don’t appear to be chasing us around so don’t tire , they just sit deep . You are right that he needs to understand this and change tactic or playing personnel to suit . The technical quality of the personnel should mostly give us the upper hand - but goals for or against our dominance is the crux and in all honesty the truth will out - personnel is wrong or the tactics
Teams worked out how to play against us very quickly and they are doing it with ease, LR hasn't ( yet ) found a way to counter that. Can he.....on evidence so far, no he can't. But that could change. Has he improved us, yes. Can he take us to the next level and get us promoted. I have my doubts
The Italian way of showing displeasure is the best, very loud whistling, I’m all for that, every time Allsop decides a 20 pass in 10 yard sequence will please the gaffer.
How are they doing it with ease?, they are not slamming goals in left right and centre against us are they, they don't have all the dominant play, not many score more than us in a game recently we either been drawing or winning, they also not making ground on us either we are holding our own. You might say we are where we are because they other teams like norwich S/land Cov dropped points and we was lucky as we had dropped points but the main thing is we are where we are because the so called teams that have worked out how to play us did not work it out that well or they would have beat us week in week out and would be above us wouldn't they but they are not atm.
Oh yeah we only drew last 3 and won 3 in last 6, scored 2 in 3 of the games and 1 in 2 other plus a 0-0 that's a really good job done.
Am happy we are were we are it's a massive improvement, and if you think every club should be winning all home games and not drawing them write to the fans clubs of all the teams below us that will be enough for you to maybe think what the hell am i complaining about look what we have achieved in 18 months and were we are actually sitting right now in the top 6 credit were credit is due.
I've said it once and I'll say it again....I couldn't care less what other clubs are doing! We aren't good enough at home, we don't score enough at home and we don't pick up enough points at home. Anyone who can't see that is being delusional or just burying their head
