i'm not upset by his comments, its true that other PL teams will be looking at him, and his comments wont affect their interest anyway if he does go we'll get a nice hefty fee for MM to spend, every player has its price, especially at a championship team so i dont see why everyone is angry with DJ tbh
I listened to his comments as they were utered. Nothing untoward in what he said......we`d be foolish if we though Dave Jones`s words would influence anyone in the higher echelons of the football world. The fact (not a forest fact) is whittingham would have known of the interest from the other clubs in the summer, The fact is he then signed another contract extension with us. As others have said every player has his price and with a hefty bid we may sell but the good thing is Whitts seems in no hurry to leave
I really don't give a toss what DJ has to say now, but it seems a bit unfair to villainise him for expressing his opinion. Maybe I'm being naive, but I don't think there is any mallace in his comments.
I think Premier clubs were aware of Whitts before DJ said this. He said nothing wrong at all. Premier clubs have scouts I am sure.
