My old man is retiring and we wondered how much an exec box for a match is. Anyone know and is it worth it?
I believe they are all sold out for the season and can't be purchased on a one off basis for a single match is my understanding. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Circle Restaurant probably your best bet.
Check with the club, I know someone who did a big birthday on a match day. A meal and special seats, may have been a box and access to a fancy bar.
Circle Restaurant in my opinion is more sociable than an exec box - tables of 10 in a large area - ex players from both teams do a talk before the match - go outside to watch the game sat in padded seat in west stand just outside the restaurant - MOM presentation and interview after the match, plus also a quiz after the match - decent scran before - snack at half-time, and cheese & biccys at full time. If there's not 10 of you they can match you up with others. as an example: versus Stoke on Good Friday Adult £154.80 - under 10's £72
They do have a spare box this season. They have been trying to flog me it so it will be worth giving them a ring and see what the deal is. For the season it's £17,500 + VAT and that doesn't include food or drink, although they dropped this price throughout the season so not sure how much for a one off game.
Something I hope is in the expansion plans for the stadium, increased corporate areas and more executive boxes would increase revenue.
It's definitely in their plans for expansion. The corporate areas go a long way to paying off the outlay of a bigger stand but they want a row of boxes above the East Stand (and this may still happen without an extra tier on the top as they have looked at the possibility of just adding boxes above the existing tier).
Think I’ve paid around 2k + vat per game for a 10 seat box including unlimited f&b But I haven’t done it for a long time, I stopped when things went toxic with the Allams Edit - from memory, just the box no food or drink is around £1300 +vat
Or get 2 x seperate ones so that we can have a positive gang and us negative lot who dont jizz our pants every time Rosenior tells us we are the best team at passing in our own third in the Championship. Will save any trouble. You and OLM might end up scuffling in the stands!
Haha and to old ( well feel it ) and laid back to scuffle these days, can't beat a drink and a good debate though.... Syd could even cover over, listen to what everyone says and then just make up his own version and meaning
Tried to book one for Stoke at home and was told no box available. Heading into The Circle Restaurant now which as some have said is good fun with decent food.
IIRC the design of the stadium allowed for an extra three or four rows of seats in the south, north and east to be stuck on the top, do you know if the plans for those exec boxes incorporate those rows or will they create extra space above?
Not too sure to be honest, I just got told when I went for a chat with the commercial team last year when we sorted our sponsorship out that Acun wants a row of boxes in the East Stand and when I asked if that was part of the expansion plans I was told that they were looking at the costs of doing the boxes with and without the extra tier above them. I'm going back there in a few days to confirm our sponsorship for next year so I'll try and see if there's any progress.
Given the club's love of portakabins, they're thinking of emulating Donny Rovers and their old stand at Belle Vue and sticking them on the East Stand Roof. please log in to view this image
