I’ve said all season Rosenior in so in thrall with his training manual that he is incapable of any other tactic that forces change in the team, some of the football we played last night was superb, the crowd sensed it and upped the volume to levels that we only heard when we knew promotion was nearly there, and then he took Tufan and Seri off, what bomb goes off in his head to do that? Rosenior is not a good manager, he has a team so good that any other manager in the top ten would have us much higher with many more points. I think even if we do crawl into the playoffs, we will crash and burn because of Rosenior, we hear the same **** after every home game. This side will be decimated next season and we will do a Middlesbrough, unless Acun sacks Rosey at the end of the season if we don’t go up.
Its why I said from the start he should have had an experienced man with him and not Dawson. Find a place for Andy by all means but we have given a good budget to a couple of kids in terms of management experience. There have been times this season when its crying out for a Warnock to say 'Liam, pack it in for today mate they're wise to us, we need to go route one' or 'stop dicking about, we're 1-0 up at home, GK needs to go long and pin them in their own half'. They're simplistic things of course but at times I genuinely wonder why everyone around me can see it but not the manager. Is he that blind to what his 'system' does to us when we're in front and hanging on or trying to break a team down that knows how to shutdown and press at the right times? I have to assume it is arrogance. We seem to have only one way of playing and the best performances have just happened to come against sides that allowed us to play that way. I didnt see Southampton so cant be sure on that game.
Can we please jack in these insults, speak to people as if they're sat next to you, or don't speak to them at all.
If he did the exact same sat next to me then I'd call him a ****er as well..... How about he just stops making **** up in his head and twisting what people say and he might not get insulted
There seems to be a general consensus that the buck stops with Rosie, whether through poor recruitment or the style of football he's got the team playing. I suspect it's a bit of both. Starting the season with only Delap and an inconsistent, injury-prone, Connolly was asking for trouble but I think part of the problem is also that he's instilled a style of play that values possession retention above everything and I'd argue that it's a mindset that's dulled the team's ruthlessness when it comes to putting the ball in the onion bag. Posters have also rightly criticised the quality of our final ball and, particularly, our crossing from wide. It's shocking. Either in open play or from dead balls, we rarely seem to find a player in an amber shirt. For a player who came with such a great reputation for assists, and for all his endeavour, I can't think of a single cross that Giles has made that's beat the first man. Similarly Omur's dead balls are just awful. After our game last night I switched over to the Ipswich match and literally the first thing I saw was their player swing in a brilliant dead ball, bang on the money, that was turned into the net. Simple question: for all the obvious quality we possess, why can't our players do that? It's been said that the crowd are too quiet and don't get behind the team. Generating an atmosphere is a two-way symbiotic thing: the crowd gee up the players who in turn give the crowd something to cheer, but I just don't see the team fulfilling their part of the bargain. I have to say that those 20k plus turning up every week to regularly witness a quality team regularly struggle have shown admirable patience and many other team's fans would have turned on them long ago (can you imagine the poison raining down at the Stadium of Light?) We should accept that our home form has been an issue for a long time and it aint gonna suddenly turn around this season. Will a returning Delap change anything or will his lack of match-fitness mean we'll miss out? My feeling is that we have a real existential problem with the way our style of football massively affects our home form and LR needs to have a proper re-think in the close season and evaluate how to solve it. Given the way we lost both matches against them, it will be a pisser to lose out to Norwich.
Do you not think you'd be better off just not caring about what he says? It evidently seems to rile you so much.
If he stops twisting what I post and making up things re the meanings of my posts then I'd gladly and happily go back to completely ignoring him and not engaging with him.
You, one of the smarmiest people on here, clutching pearls and tone-policing how others speak to one another on this forum is hilarious.
I don’t think most on here would speak to people sat next to them like they do on here (inc the hierachy) or they’d be constantly picking their teeth up
However there is a way that if those players were told to pass the ****ing ball into a striker after creating some space for themselves Sharp would put the ball in the net. Its his job and what he has done for years very successfully. It has been apparent for a while now we have too many show ponies and not enough grit.
If Syd acted in person the same way as he does on here id happily call him out for it and call him a ****er.
And of course the big thing to get it off my chest is ' the players came here because of the way we play'.... what complete ****ing bollocks is that. I'm guessing and purely guessing that as a 'football man and fan' Acun is definitely, maybe perhaps behind closed doors in the comfort of his jet saying much of what has been said on here since last night.
We signed 2 in January , Sharp and Ohio and neither of them are good enough and also gambled on Connolly which hasn't paid off either So apart from Delap , we've completely messed it up , not sure how much is down to LR
Southgate is 20 years in The idea 'other managers' would get more out of him too - well 2 others had him last season and got less. Similar story with Morton at Blackburn, and philogene at Cardiff.
Yeah, I think so far he has looked good, manages to find time and space but then his final ball / crossing has been a disappointment. The ridiculous amount of assists he had at Boro last year suggests they were doing something very different to us.
