1. Greaves - again a rock at the back . 2.Alsop- A clean sheet because of good positioning and excellent saves 3. Coyle - robust , energetic . He led the team by example. Well done to Slater and Jones who are unlucky not be amongst the above. Good game for nil nil . It could have gone either way but a draw was a fair result. Well done boys Come on City
Coyle - The only player with any energy going forward & defensively! Morton - Thought he was the best midfielder linking play & getting back to cover! Greaves or Jones - Thought they both did well defensively, Greaves maybe edging it with his bringing the ball out from the back!
On a pitch that looked as bad, if not worse than ours, this was a good away point. If it had been a boxing match we might have just shaded it on points. Dodgy start which we brought on ourselves with some hesitancy playing out from the back and some aggressive pressing from PNE. But we played ourselves into the game eventually and looked the better side. Second half was always going to be a bit gung oh from PNE playing towards their own end, as it always is there and they threw everything they had at us with little effect. As it was 'goal machine' Will Keane hardly got a touch and was eventually subbed and the home side were reduced to one shot at goal. As the game wore on a draw was looking a fair result and thats how it ended. No complaints from me, I'm satisfied with that. No weak links in our starting eleven today but... 1. Coyle 2. Greaves 3. Seri. ......
Any answer as top but Greaves btw is wrong. What an absolute monster performance again, he’s developing into one of the best defenders I’ve seen at the club and at 24 he’s surely going all the way. I reckon he’d be an animal as a holding midfielder too. Greaves Coyle Allsop
