Mmm I actually thought our performance was much better especially compared against the games v Shef Wed & QPR..
As always just not got the quality to take chances.. Money must be available for a striker or two.

I read this a lot that Nige brought the players together, yet I don’t remember any rebellion under LJ,DH, or now under Liam? If anything, all the player fall outs were with Nige, Kalas, HNM, Wells, Weimann.
The problem with this club, and I’ve said it for a couple of years now, is Steve L. He wants a yes man, and doesn’t want to invest what it takes anymore. I wish he’d sell up, and do one.

Again, not sure of what Pearson built, either. We had zero identity on the pitch under him for me., Weimann at RB for gods sake, Nige broke him as a player at City.
Yes, he ran the contracts down and got rid of high earners, but as we have seen this week, we are still massively in the red from the last year under NP. Not his fault, as it wasn’t LJs, but one gets pillared for the debt, and one gets hailed a messiah for doing marginally better - with his wealth of experience!

We don’t always see eye to eye on things to do with BCFC, but most of us - me, Red Robin and a few others have been calling for a ‘proper’ number 9 for some time now.
Whatever our differences about other stuff, I think many of us have seen that since the departure of Martin and Diedhiou - admittedly questionable that they fitted the ‘proper’ number 9 description - they were the closest we had - and neither were replaced.
All that pretty stuff in midfield is irrelevant when the opposition soak up our feeble goal attempts and score from a set piece (taken from the wrong place but that might have made no difference).

Not better so far, but not worse either. You have to add context, Nige was massively experienced and didn’t improve us football wise, or league position in 3 years, and as it turns out this week, not that much financially either, yet you tug it over him, and slag off a young manager who’s been here 3 months.

We could have done with Weimann today.
In fact, he should still be with us now.

You think it was so much better under Nige.. but imo I think our methods are better, just need some quality players to make them work..

That report was dated December (if you look at the date on newsreel) . It’s not a new report that came out this week. We all knew 22m in red.

It wasn’t much better, I agree with that but with Pearson they ran through brick walls for each other, now with LM they argue and blame each other constantly. They look like they have no clue what their jobs are.

We simply did not need yet another rebuild, but we are having to put up with it once again.

Most of the results were still crap though..Football was negative after 20 mins of every game. Worse when ever we went a goal up.
Oh and how many times did we concede in the final minutes???
    That was the reality..

I got up at 4am to watch this and we looked clueless and confused. The disheartening thing more than anything was Cardiff looked just as bad or marginally worse. You could give LM a top 6 prem side of players and we wouldn’t make the playoffs in the Championship. He is well and truly out of his depth. I don’t see any kind of spirit, and I’m failing to see a “style” or “brand” that he constantly refers to. It looks different every game. I’ve got Derek McInnes feelings. We’re not the worst team on the pitch that day but we still end up losing or scrapping for a point against teams that couldn’t typically buy a win in previous weeks/months.

I’ll keep banging this drum that it’s SL and family that need to go first. They have no idea how to run a club and Tinman can feck off’n’all. He has nothing about him but a decent left foot. He should not be pulling any kind of strings behind the scenes.

Maybe, but Nige wasn’t out of his depth, and he was no better, that’s the point you miss with your rose tints on. It’s the context, same as it is when you (and the other Nige luvees) go on about the state the club was in when he took over. You can’t have it both ways.

Bristol City will not be massively in the red when the next set of accounts are released. The losses between Lee Johnsons tenure and Nigel Pearsons are very different. Nigel Pearson time at the clubs saw wages decreasing by 40%. Lee Johnsons time saw the wage bill heading in the opposite direction till players had to be sold to avoid sanctions under financial fair play.

Ps the last accounts DO NOT include the sale of Alex Scott.

I would first deal with this nonsense.

You have posted something that is completely inaccurate. So, inaccurate that is indicates you don't understand the topic. If BCFC had lost £22m and sold players for £34m, and this is what the accounts showed this would mean that Nigel Pearson's time at BCFC would have coincided with a massive increase in losses and debt, and that the FC was haemorrhaging money faster than the period when it lost £38m in a year. The reality, the real picture is the opposite, not the one you are attempting to consistently paint over and over again.

Ok, I missed about the Scott sale not being included. However, £22m loss with a £9m sale, still doesn’t scream - Nige balanced the books like the luvees claim….
