Batshit Bonkers Britain. Mercure Hull. 25th June https://www.katiesarms.com/post/katie-s-silly-cow-uk-tour-2024-full-schedule
Was a great night I thought the sound for the band was better than last time they came, although it was too quiet for Suzi Ronson I’m afraid (we did chat to her briefly later on though )
Somewhat fitting place for this project perhaps ? Was discussed on today's BBC "Breakfast" show. https://www.bmg.com/uk/news/BMG-Mar...-single-Going-Home-Theme-From-Local-Hero.html
Went to see a post-punk/hardcore band called Ditz recently. They were the best I've seen in many years, really tight. The drummer was insanely good, with some of the drumming not too dissimilar to QOTSA due to the syncopated rhythms.
Going to see John Squire and Liam Gallagher on Saturday at the 02 Academy in Leeds. I'm a bit of John Squire fan boy and to see him in a small venue is amazing.
Was getting sorted to buy Elbow tickets for Hull, which go on pre sale tomorrow (I think), when Mrs Tash got an email with the tickets to see them in Leeds the week after that we’d bought ages ago and completely forgot about!
A Certain Ratio at Social 10th May for lovers of elite syncopation. Donald Johnson one of the greats imho.
Went to John Squire and Liam Gallagher tonight in Leeds. I've seen some great guitar players but Squire is the best by far. He did Hendrixy thing with wah wah which was out this world.
It’s 30 years since Oasis went on their debut ‘Supersonic’ tour, of the fifteen venues they played on that tour, only six are still open as music venues.
