thing is clarke, stewert roberts neil hume didnt make much of in impact when the first come and only actually started improving is when the were giving a run of game the clarke we've got now, isn't the clarke we had at start
my post above , clarke roberts neil hume and Stewart weren't ripping it up when the first come and weren't stand outs
All UK players with solid experience. That's been my issues with signing so many foreign players from the French semi pro leagues
apart from ba they have all come from the top league auchie and pembele have over 100 games between them in the top league
As much as Clarke being injured is a blow it’s a massive chance for someone to step up, as others have already said. I still think a half decent manager should be able to get a tune out of the players we have available.
Was tounge in cheek mate. My point is British players who we have paid a bit more for, have been the stand out.
Pemeble was very broken when we bought him, his acl was a really bad injury. I'm not expecting to see much of him till next season
I think the club thought the 1st XI was strong enough to compete (they were largely correct) so the focus was on recruiting players who would develop over the next 12-24 months. The problem there is that they ignored the here and now (experienced striker and CDM) , they underestimated the impact Rusyn could make and we've had rotten luck with injuries People point to the likes of Hume as examples of players bought who needed 6-12 months to bed in before becoming a key part of the team, but looking at some of the players signed last season (Ba, Bennette, Ekwah) still look a distance away from being ready to impact the first team on a regular basis. I know there are myriad reasons why, but on Sat I was watching us struggle and thought back to when we had Clarke, Pritch and Roberts in a 3 behind Ross Stewart...
Get Mundle in that position every single week. No rotation, no switching him to the right, just give him a run that will help him start next season with a bang.
For next few weeks I'd go: Patterson Hume Seelt Ballard* Hjelde Styles Neil Mundle Rigg Rusyn Hemir If Alese can get/stay fit then he replaces Hjelde. Give Rigg some starts and maybe rotate with Aouchiche. Absolutely nothing to lose
My apologies, I named the wrong poster. I believe it was actually @Wayne the Punk that stated that Clarke doesn't get injured, just a couple of weeks ago, so that went well lol. That'll teach me to open my mouth without engaging my brain
M8 never known a poster go so far left from pro club to against the club in such a short space of time
I like it and would agree (especially Rigg starting) but we both know O’Nien starts if he isn’t injured/suspended.
Aye. It always comes across that I don't like or rate O9 but I do. I think now is the time to give Seelt a run alongside Ballard
