So, I'm going to go deep today. Sex with dolphins! (I'm not having sex with dolphins, only discussing it). It's illegal because bestiality is with an animal that can't give consent (and people think it's icky). But, we know dolphins and whales have language, more than that, we know dolphins have a very complex language that is able to convey instructions regarding to each other in tense. Dolphins are also very amorous creatures that like to have sex for fun. So (this is only theoretical), would it be immoral/illegal/(yes it would still be icky... or would it, they do have sensual smooth skin) to have sex with a dolphin if we ever learned to communicate with them and they gave consent. Granted, they sometimes rape humans already and don't ask for consent (or maybe they do and because we don't speak 'bottlenose' we don't realise we're actually giving them consent).
A friend of ours was telling us a few months ago about their neighbours who are into sex parties etc. and how when the neighbours moved in, they showed her round their house and when they got to the bedroom, there was a soft toy dolphin in S&M gear attached to the ceiling and when she looked at it, the neighbours said "Yeah, we're into that sort of thing." At that point I butted in and said "What, dolphins?" At the time I was joking but now I'm wondering if you live in Germany.
You know that friend was probably being secretly propositioned...they were judging her reaction. As an aside I am over 50% German according to DNA tests. (both my English and my Eastern European sides of my family have several German ancestors so wasn't a huge surprise, somehow I got all the German genes from both parents).
