"The second Everton charge for alleged breaches in the three-year period to the end of 2022-23 must be heard by 8 April, by which time only six rounds of league fixtures will remain this season." So they will get another points deduction this season if they are in breach again? Be really interesting to see what happens in April, they are 5 points clear currently but could be much close to the drop by the time the hearing is decided but still not sure they'll be going down this season, even with 2 charges against them. Burnley and Sheffield are gone already and if Forest are in the same boat then can't see them slipping behind them with the run in they have, even after the hearing. 6 games before/after the hearing: West Ham / Chelsea Man U / Forest Liverpool / Brentford Bournemouth / Luton NUFC / Sheffield U Burnley / Arsenal
I'm going to go against this plan that would see the club go backwards for at least 3 or 4 years and just suggest spending money wisely this summer as planned .
If they appeal any decision, which they probably will, the hearing will be after seasons end. Be interesting to see what happens then.
I suspect they will introduce a points system linked to how much you over spend by. The more over the more points you get. The whole thing is a mess anyways.
There's no opportunity for us basically for another 3 years or unless we sell all our best players which means we have could get worse anyway.
Yes there is. We grow our commercial revenue. That’s always been the short term plan and that’s what they are doing. Going out of Europe won’t help. But the club has to get the worlds best commercial team In and that’s how we grow. Exploit every avenue aswell. Sponsor the **** out of everything. Even Dan Burns pants. We need a sponsor for everything. And it can be challenged really because the standards have been set.
God please don't plaster the kits with sponsors please log in to view this image Try and locate the club badge on this Norwegian kit Hideous Here, he's helping in this one please log in to view this image
They have changed the sponsorship rules mate we're ****ed. We can just enjoy not being like Luton etc ... maybe we'll have a few good seasons more times than we've been used to and lose a few finals.
It does not have to be on the strips. It literally can be everywhere. The big roll could be sponsored by Andrex if need be. The Bedsheets could be sponsored by Tencel for all I care but if the commerciality of it is fine it’s allowed and the PL cannot block that. Literally every facet of the club can be sponsored.
They have not and they cannot restrict trade. That’s a legal definition. Yes we can’t sponsor the stadium for 100m a day. But we can for 20m a year. Everything can be sponsored. Training tops. women’s football team. Drinks. Food. Big roll. You name it it can be sponsored.
They did mate they voted shortly after the takeover. Newcastle are now upto the eyeballs with PSR and are a poor side which won't help. The rules on PSR are being tightened aswel... Newcastle aren't joking they've hit the wall.
We were at the limits for Jan only. I know this might seem like a hard concept to understand but come the summer we are more than fine. I'll try and simplify the issues The 3 year period to date is 22/23 21/22 20/21 Over the last 3 years we have made a total loss of £155m. £50m over the £105m threshold. However £50m of those losses have been put down to infrastructure, training ground, academy, women's team and NUFC Foundation. What you have to bear in mind here is in Ashley's final year we were £35m in credit. So with an average net transfer spend of £150m a year we'd be losing about £95m a year with the figures as they were and the income as it was. The financial year for all football clubs starts on 01/07 for accounting reasons for PL compliance and all accounts are handed in to the PL by December so they can penalise any breaches in that current season. What needs taken into account however is the Sela sponsorship deal adds another £18.5m to the coffers, the Adidas (Starts beginning of June) deal will add £33.5m to the coffers and I'm sure Noon has been bumped up by another £2m. So that alone gives you and extra £54m. We can then add MGM Sports Bet, Fenwick, Saudia, Carling, Fun 88, Sports Bet IO, Monster and IN Post partnership deals to that which are probably worth at least £1m a pop and that takes you to £62m extra. then add the £15m from Sam Fender concerts and your up to £77m extra. You can then add £20m for Maxi, £17m for Wood. both will be this years accounts and that pumps us well into profit without even mentioning Champions League money, ticket price hikes, cup season tickets, memberships, new corporate hospitality areas in both Leazes and Gallowgate or anything else. Bottom line is we can probably spend £160 - £180m a year NET without worrying about FFP. All the while continuing to increase the commercial revenues.
