Agree. Bamford's movement off of the ball is better. Give Piroe the ball in a place he can run from or shoot from and he's more consistent, he's just not as good as getting there in the first place.
This is the league table from the end of August when the transfer window closed and the rats could no longer hurt us. 1) Leeds P30....67 pts 2) Leicester P30....66 pts 3) Ipswich P30....63 pts 4) Saints P30....57 pts Now we just need to be the best team in the division for the remaining 12 games.
Different styles. Look at the difference when Bamford came on Friday night. Piroe plays lower then Bamford, almost trying to win the ball and turn towards the goal. Bamford plays higher up with the expectation that balls will come in from wide for him to get onto. Even if Bamford doesn't Leicesters defenders suddenly had a whole different problem to deal with.
yeh I think it's a combination of the above and as Jambo say's, Leicester scoring first setting the pattern of the game. It was concerning how easily they forced errors and capitalised (or nearly capitalised!) on them.
Totally agree Eire. I don't care what the oppo manager says pre or post games. Every game for us is big as it is for Fester unless they are not bovvered about getting promoted.
Quite interesting that. Despite their perceived awful spell, Ipswich have actually gained more points than Leicester since then
On a 4 game winning spell currently (their 4th of the season). They've not managed 5 in a row yet so hoping that trend continues!
I Was actually stunned when they got away with only ten, Couldn't believe that they actually appealed that, then thought if it's looked into again they would get the correct fiteen point deduction, so Reduced to just six proves cheating pays off in a big way in football, i am totally gobsmacked. Now if that was us !!!!!
Cashed up clubs like newcastle must be thinking, spend loads on quality players and take a six point deduction. It might hamper them for one season, but after that they will be fine.
