Despite double points, the prediction scores weren't that impressive. If it hadn't been for Rotherham being reliable losers, albeit by the odd goal in 7, they'd have been even worse.



Joe unwisely but loyally put his joker on Argyle, who promptly produced their worst performance for several years, so he missed out on the 4 points (right result plus joker plus double points) everyone else got from the Ipswich game.

SMH got the goal time (49 v 61 actual) to make him top scorer on the night.

Very little change in the table: Musty pulled clear of me at the bottom by dint of getting the Cardiff v Blackburn result right when I didn't.



The next round starts on Friday at 7:45pm and thankfully completes on Saturday, so no carry-over into Sunday of next week. There are 13 games remaining, lucky for some perhaps, so we'll have double points and two jokers.

It's actually not that close with 9 points between them but Leicester got beaten at home by Middlesborough in their last outing whereas Leeds haven't dropped a single point since the end of December. We'll therefore go with Leeds United v Leicester as the Super Match, This game will be on TV on Friday.

 

Leeds v Leicester is actually on Friday night with the Coventry v PNE game also that evening.

According to us, Southampton are nailed-on winners against Swansea but only five out us have put a joker on it. After that, we like Sunderland to beat Swansea. As Plym pointed out, there aren't many obvious away wins in this set of games: Norwich to win at Blackburn gets most votes, followed by slightly less enthusiasm for Bristol City at Sheffield Wednesday.



Other than Southampton, Cardiff to beat Stoke and Sunderland to beat Swansea, jokers are all over the place.

As intended, the Super Match is difficult to predict. Nobody's gone for an away win it's true but three of us see a draw as most likely and nobody's risked a joker on the possibility of 12 points.

 

Oh dear on the Super Match. So near yet so far away.................(as he tries to sound sincere)

 

Well, an astonishing result for Argyle even I think for we fans. With the benefit of double points, some good scores in the Prediction League too.
