Most definitely. If they backtrack on this it will undermine what little credibility they do have, and the faint hope I have that some measure of justice will be meted out to City will fly out of the window.

They did have a large amount of leeway up until last season though, second only to us in the Prem.

I was thinking of the three year conveyor belt, they leeway will fall off but the expenditure will remain

That's why I would say it doest have teeth. Break the rule for a decade, but as long as you obfuscate it a little and threaten the league with lawyers, you can get away with it indefinitely.

If you're rich enough, you can still get away with breaking FFP without worry. It's only small clubs that need to worry.

yeah but..... if nobody was bothered to enforce a rule for years upon years then you build up that level of issue.

The rules are the rules now and enforced (this is the first season with timely decision making and punishment, lets not forget. Even if no punshments are yet published)

If city started up today and basically lied on their revenues and it was found they'd be immediately punished. If they refused to cooperate they'd be punished for not giving their accounts. etc etc.

Any club today can fake revenues and hide money like city were doing if they like but if caught then the punishment should be double and treble what honest clubs get.
It has to be or everyone would lie and delay.

We will see though. I sincerely doubt the prem can make a real case stick and it will go to a court of law no matter that the rules states. theres too much money in play for it not to. I'd assume the second city feel a punishment is coming they will run to courts for an injunction on a point of civil law.

All we need look at is the deliotte rich list for clubs and wonder. I sincerely doubt the revneues being reported are real.

well it clearly makes it more difficult if the accounts are cooked by a state using all the resources of the said state to funnel money in and your evidence was illegally obtained

And that's the way it should be. They spent a billion on it, it doesn't come out of FFP and it's an honest investment in the club's future and sustainability. Fair play to them.

Do you really beleive these numbers?

Ours is basically flat for the year due to 5th and last 16. I expect it to be flat or down again.

spurs are claiming 631mil euros? I sincerely doubt it. 100mil over arsenal? the stadium is not that big a cash cow.

City's is fake. Real are on an ego trip to be no 1 againso do you really beleive that number?

PSG's is utterly fake, we all know it.

    Barca? don't make me laugh

Newcastle are busy faking up theirs and cancelling real sponsors to replace with fake saudi ones.

the rich clubs are very very busy making up revenues left and right, especially those with any state backing. They know this gives them the scope then the bully the rest into the future.

Don't all clubs have to release their accounts annually? It would be easy to check if they are available online.

The difference is that Forest and Everton have been open and honest (mostly). Their accounts reflect what they have bought and sold. they have accepted the charges to an extent, but not the punishment

City is another matter. Their accounts are allegedly a tissue of lies, with money spent off the books, deals over-inflated and the sources of the money being lied about. They deny everything.

What evidence have you got for the claim that Spurs are producing false accounts /pretend revenue ?

    Exactly.

Forest and Everton probably only have 1-2 charges against their names, and both teams were co-operative.

City have 115 - it takes a lot of time to go through each one of these, plus City aren't co-operating.
