Anyone know what the deal is with European places if English clubs win their respective competitions? Man City and Arsenal still in the CL - City could win the CL again, for me its them or Real Madrid Brighton, West Ham and Liverpool in the Europa League - Be amazed if Liverpool didn't win that tbh. Aston Villa in the Europa Conference - should win that looking at the teams in the competition. In that Villa and Liverpool are likely to finish in the top 4/5 which means CL qualification but are equally likely to win their respective competitions AND there are likely to be 5 CL places for the league this year, is 7th the cut off for Europe or 8th? Maybe even 9th if the English clubs did a sweep of European trophies?
Think it’s 9th and also Chelsea aren’t going to take part in the EC. So if we don’t qualify for Europe it’ll be a catastrophic failure! Need to look into it but if City win it, don’t England get another place, so would that mean top 6 in CL?!?
Don’t think so regarding City mate. If Man City finish top 4/5 anyway they’re just in the CL, no extra places. Only way that would happen is if City finished like 6th
I think this account is someone from our forum on the wind up, all he views or messages in is NUFC. Deliberately on the wind up.
Why are you on a Newcastle board if your a manc-mackem or an actual seagull shagger? Literally haven't been anywhere but the NUFC board and your patter is ****e, try harder or fcuk off to one of your own boards
5 is the maximum places regardless, works on coefficient for the 5th place and as it stands now England are in 3rd place for the extra spot but that could all change(manure and Newcastle's fault for not getting to the knockout stages) . I don't know if the coefficient works across all the European comps or individual competitions.
