Chelsea again? I'm getting tired of playing Chelsea surely there has to be some other clubs in England we can play.

Mauricio Pochettino's survival may actually depend on this game. It is not going to be easy.

oh I'm sure it does but who cares.

we need an 11 so only time will tell.

I won't be weeping one bit if chelsea win as long as we have a side for the league games. that's the injury situation now.

    REFEREE IS: CHRIS KAVANGH

Brooks was the referee who showed Virgil van Dijk a red card at Newcastle earlier this season and was the fourth official who Jurgen Klopp celebrated in front of when he strained his hamstring last year.

As for the referee overseeing the action on the Wembley pitch, that honour has been handed to Chris Kavanagh, who has taken charge of the Reds four times already this campaign.

Chelsea have slightly improved since their wolves debacle at home. But they are still a young inexperienced side, inconsistent and liable to collapse when faced with a decent side. They need a good start more than we do. We keep it tight for the first half hour we’ll have no problem getting the first trophy of the season.

    3-0 Salah and Darwin.

I fear an Arsenal like performance if legs are tired. Our tactics were spot on last time we played them; hopefully we’ll carry that dominance into this game, although much depends on availability.

CHRIS SUTTON HAS GONE FOR LIVERPOOL WIN.

Chelsea v Liverpool (Carabao Cup final. 15:00)
I was at Anfield a few weeks ago, when Liverpool absolutely thrashed Chelsea 4-1. To say it was a demolition does not do it justice.

It was billed then as a dress rehearsal for this final and, when I was thinking about it afterwards, I just thought there is no way you would give the Blues any chance whatsoever based on what happened in that game.

But then you see Chelsea hold Manchester City last weekend, when they almost held on at 1-0 and, with better finishing, had the chances to go further in front.

Meanwhile, with Liverpool, there are injury doubts over so many of their forwards, including Mohamed Salah. Is he fit, or not? We don't know.

Liverpool were woeful in the first half against Luton on Wednesday, then wonderful after the break. We will have to wait and see which Liverpool turn up, but the same can obviously be said about Chelsea.

So, the question is whether I am going to end up being hoodwinked by that display against City, or whether the tide really is about to turn for Blues boss Mauricio Pochettino.

I am not convinced that the latter is the case. As I said at the very start, I was tempted to go with Chelsea... but I have talked myself out of it.

    Sutton's prediction: 1-2 after extra-time

    Jermain's prediction: 1-2

Will Trent post a picture of him holding the trophy with the caption "3 more to go" again?

I do think this is a game where we will miss Jones. Elliott and Gravenberch, for different reasons, don't quite cover what he brings to the table. I'm expecting a tighter game than the league match.

If we had not won 4-1 I would be thinking we had a chance
Whilst that game shouldn’t have an effect on this game I think it will
Particularly the midfield pair that got torn apart - I think they will have a massive point to prove
I think we will lose this one
13 or so injuries is just too much imho.

NEWSLFC injury update: Nunez, Salah, Szoboszlai, Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Jones and Jota
Liverpool will continue to monitor the fitness of Darwin Nunez, Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai ahead of the Carabao Cup final, assistant manager Pepijn Lijnders has confirmed.

Nunez and Salah were both absent for the victory over Luton Town in midweek, while Szoboszlai is yet to feature this month due to a hamstring injury.

Meanwhile, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota have been ruled out of the Wembley showdown with Chelsea.

Lijnders told Liverpoolfc.com on Friday: "We come in a crazy schedule again, so we play every three days. It's important for us to use each minute, use each day to really look how the players are. This is for Mo, Dom and Darwin.

"Two training sessions to go, let's see how they are and then we can make a decision in the last minute.

"And all the others, we know it's longer. Ali has a muscle injury. Trent, LCL. Jota, medial ligament, MCL. Curtis [has] a high ankle sprain. They will be longer out.

"Curtis is probably the first one [to come back] around the international break. All the others will be after the international break."

Asked if there were any knocks picked up against Luton, Lijnders replied: "So far I know not.

"All the boys had a day off yesterday but for us a day off means that they come in and they have treatment and, of course, we have to prepare the final.

"But for the boys it's proper recovery, so they all feel the necessity to use [it] in these moments where you play every three days and where certain boys have to play more because of the injuries.

"So, they are treating their body well, they are trying everything to be fresh, to be fit. But you know with our style, how we play, it's important. You have to respect the recovery as much as you respect the performance."

If only one thing...(Moisés Caicedo} I want us to have the last laugh. Otherwise, I do not care if Chelsea wins.

so if he goes off with a bad injury or a red card them chelsea wins its OK?

there is imo no scenario where he walks off with a winners medal that he doesn't say told you so.

he and lavia have to be ground into the dust. klopp has set himself up for a huge wumming by saying how lucky we were in the summer
