Another crazy game at Portman road, ending in a 3-2 victory. Moore 2 and broadhead, 2 harness own goals for brum
I see Mogga has taken some time off, hoping it s nothing to serious. I wonder if this will be of benefit to us ? another nervy 2-1 win.
All round better performance, defense surprisingly solid, Walton in goal, I will go with our statitician. 2-0 Town. Moore and Hutch. We go back to 2nd.
A lot riding on tomorrow night’s game: In April, Leicester have a brutal run. Leeds play four of the bottom sides back to back Town have favourable fixtures Then Leicester have an easier time in April, whilst Leeds and Ipswich have a tougher job. Southampton don’t have any easy or hard runs, their fixtures are balanced all the way. Maybe that will favour them. If Leicester win tomorrow night, they will keep their noses in front. If Leeds win, we could have four sides toe to toe by April 1st.
Fascinating isnt it! I have a hunch we will be back to 2nd soon. Every game is difficult in this league. The Millers are a good example of nasty surprises. We must take each game as they come. I am hoping Leics pull their socks up and beat Leeds. I think most fans are!
A draw might be the best outcome for Town? The good news is we can’t choose the result. We just need to keep doing what we are doing and what will be will be.
I hope Leicester win and stop this mad run of wins that Leeds are on. Leicester will likely stay at the top and I can't see them finishing as low as third - so I think our best bet is finishing ahead of Leeds and Southampton to that second automatic spot. If both drop three points to Leicester in this run in, that'll only benefit us.
Totally agree, we need to forget about Leicester for now, and just hope that both Leeds and Southampton drop a few points. Leeds have been unstoppable of late, so hopefully a decent Leicester win will bring them down a peg.
It's a difficult one isn't it?Are we best off being amongst four teams chasing two automatic spots or forget Leicester and battle it out with the other two?On balance I think we're better off forgetting the Foxes and wishing for things to go tits up for Southampton and, especially, Leeds.
I've long forgot about Leicester but looking at the fixtures they've got on paper a really tough run in, for the first time I'm wondering whether especially if they lose to Leeds (hope not), could they slip up. The converse to this is usually this time of the season the teams at the bottom start to pick up points, so could be a fascinating end to the season. If we're going to be in contention for 2nd place, I think we're going to need to be in 2nd by the time we play Southampton at the beginning of April. Leeds Look like the in form team at the moment but will be interesting to see how they react to a loss, look at Southampton 2 in quick succession (without their main man). We're conceding too many goals but the thing we have in our favour is we don't lose many (the least in the league). I still do fear if we get an injury in fullback positions or to Moore and Morsey it would be a major blow for us.
Doesn't do anyone any good to look too far into the future. Just focus on collecting as many points as we can manage, one game at a time. If we can emulate the run in from last season then we'll be in with a good shout. Having said that, I've long suspected we'll get second. which means back to back promotions, breaking club and league records along the way, and with above average points totals... But not a single trophy to show for it.
