Is that why Shearer turned you down. Biggest player in the World at the time and he preferred little old Newcastle to the Mega Giants Manchester City……sorry United.
Jesus Christ put down the brown ale. "Best player in the world" who didn't couldn't even win the Ballon d'Or? Also, his replacement Solskjaer won us the European Cup. What did you win with Al? Or was his signature a trophy in itself?
Simple, at that time name a better striker. Please don’t say Sol as that would really blow your wumming credibility. Secondly, he was 3rd in the Ballon d’Or that year and at that time I would have picked him above Sammer and the real Ronaldo as obviously a lot of people did for him to get third. I always prefer my opinion to anyone else’s. You seem to be more sheep like however preferring other people to do your thinking and telling you what to think.
Ronaldo. Won the FIFA World Player of the Year award after scoring 47 goals in 49 games for Barcelona. Next question?
This is such pony. Whats really much different between Manchester & Newcastle? It’s an hour or 2 closer to London? Woopdie ****ing doo. Players get on flights, they don’t care. Everytime a benefit programme pops up on the tele it always seems to be in Manchester or Liverpool. These glory supporters honestly need to come up with some new. Bruno & Isak must hate Newcastle like
Two key things. 1) The trophy count. 2) The budget for players. Weirdly enough, these two things seem to go hand in hand.
My point is though mate when people say they don’t want to live in Newcastle, they’d still say it if we had 1000 trophies and the ultimate world 11. They talk as if Manchester is Vegas or something, tits
True that. Not sure if this has been discussed before, but I just looked up "Man City Takeover", then "FFP introduction". September 2008 and September 2009 respectively. Funny, that. List of major clubs to go into administration and the year they did: - Parma 2015 - Rangers 2009 - Fiorentina 2002 - Erm......Wimbledon? Bury? I remain astonished to this day - and always will - that FFP was brought in to try and stop Man City and to then try and permanently stop another Man City. FFP has protected zero clubs - because the punishment is points deductions/fines, inevitable resulting in further financial issues. But more importantly, there was ONE example EVER of a major club struggling and their punishment was demotion to Serie D. 10 years later they were back in Serie A, crisis averted. Why does this matter? Because the punishment for poor finances has always been there from the league's they're in and the country they play in. Best way to put it - A club loaded with debt, like Manchester United, is fully compliant; a club without debt, like City, is not. How the **** FFP or whatever they want to call it exists is beyond any comprehension. Every, single club should be able to 'do a City', as long as borrowing is controlled and/or gifted. It's the simplest thing in the world to do, and "they" will never allow it. It's ****ing disgusting and of all the things, this will be the thing that turns me away from football forever. I'm not sure what's worse either - the fact millions of people know this, the fact NO pundit ever talks about it, or the fact the powers that be will do anything they can to stop it.
Ah! So now that it's October it's changed. Just like seasons or is it down to a more woke government?
Good news. Our owners have said that the summer issues were not caused by EH and he shouldn't be sacked as a consequence and has their full backing
